Item suffixes in the Burning Crusade
In case you're confused, a "suffix" is that thing behind an item's name that acts as a description -- of the eagle, of the owl, of the tiger, and so forth. Each suffix implies a specific combination of stats on the item you're looking at -- and in the expansion, there are going to be some new suffixes for new combinations of stats. However, at present, these suffixes are used for green items, and these new suffixes hint that we'll be seeing green items with more varied combinations of stats that we used to see only on nicer blue items. The World of Raids forums provides a nice list of these suffixes for your reading pleasure, or, if you'd rather, read on below.Melee

So is the order of the stats the order of the values as well? I.E. is the difference between "of the Bandit" and "of the Shadow" that Bandit will have greater Agi while Shadow will have greater Atk?

Also, "of the Beast" and "of the Grove" are identical in stats and order.

Your guess is as good as mine -- though comments on the forums suggested the ordering of the list would have something to do with the relative strength of the stat allotments. This is still vague rumor information however -- so we don't have full details.
