Burning Crusade closed beta has begun!

If this forum post by Eyonix can be believed, and I have no reason to think it can't, the Burning Crusade closed beta has started! For you folks stuck behind a firewall at work, the post from Eyonix simply states:"Just a heads up that closed beta has begun. What's new with you guys? ;P"
His post is followed by Drysc claiming first response postion in the thread.
Fantastic news! If the beta goes well, we could have the Burning Crusade pretty quickly. If it goes badly...well...let's not even think about that. So, is anyone out there in the closed beta? Is this not the best news out of Blizzard in a while?

Oh please say it's so! I can't believe it is finally happening, woot to that! Just call me the happiest druid alive, and btw, 1st reply!!! Maybe this way we will get it by the end of the year, (touch wood.)

I'm in the beta but still waiting for the key from Blizzard, so...I guess I'm not quite yet.

i won a spot in the beta too, cant check my email since im at work.... hope i got my key.... well by the time i confirm this post, i'll probably be in the beta.

Yeah I got my email as well.. but it reads like even though I installed today, I wont be able to play till Monday, because that's when the maintenance is. Won't know till I get home from work though... alas.
But hey, I got in and got 2 toons copied. I can't complain too much.
