When Tseric asked this last week on the forums which shield players like the best, this one got a surprising (to me, anyway) number of votes. It may not look like much (no flaming skulls or sparkly bits), but the ERB gets the job done... and how.
Name: Elementium Reinforced Bulwark
Type: Epic Off-hand Shield
Armor: 2893, 54 Block
Abilities:
- +23 Stamina
- Increases the block value of your shield by 19, and Increased Defense +7
- To quote the players who loves this shield, it "looks like a car door," but blocks like a "chunk of wall." It's de rigeur for an MT up through BWL. Sure other warriors may have something flashy like the Drillborer Disk, or something a little classier like the Draconian Deflector. But when you want to block a lot of stuff and don't care what you look like doing it, ERB is it.
- Also, it's spiky and metal. That's hardcore.
Auction Price: BOP again. 9g 80s 56c to a vendor-- has anyone ever vendored this stuff? At this level, doesn't everything like this just get DE'd?

Maybe instead of showing the vendor price, show what it can be Disenchanted into. At least on BOPs.

I have it, I love it.. I think it is the meanest, toughest looking shield around. Funny how as you gear up, you start to get more and more attention in Org just hanging out at the mailbox. Main tank with 8/8 Wrath and a Bulwark = Guild publicity :)

I've vendored more than a few epics of this quality - when you get an upgrade that's simply so much better as to make the previous item completely obsolete, and bank and bag space is already at an extreme premium, then you have to make a decision: Is unlearning a 300/300 profession worth it for one or two Nexus Crystals, which sell on the AH for 30g each? Almost always, the answer will be no - even if the unlearned profession is just a gathering profession, most raiders will tell you the time to grind that gathering back up to 300 is worth much more than potential nexus crystals.
