Yet more BC talent updates
They just don't stop, do they? Today's changes make me wonder why I ever stopped playing my warlock (they keep getting better and better!) and also provide a number of interesting rogue changes. I've included the main part of the changes below, but edited out some minor details about updated graphics and the like, so check Nethaera's post if you want every last bit of possible information.Warlock

I LOL'd - comments here read just like they do on the WoW public forums. I'm loving the new definition of a "nerf" btw:
"An ability that is added during the beta testing of a game that isn't guaranteed to make it to the final, retail release but is merely a preview to the public to raise hype." Thus weapon normalization can now be categorized as a class-5 virtual depression capable of rending the space time continuum into utter oblivion.
Relax, they're tweaking. CE was overpowered and is being balanced, just like Vitality for rogues. Just like the Judgement of Righteousness spell power coeffiencent is imba at 135%, this is all subject to change. It's possible they'll be tweaked more or become filler talents that help get to the 40-something-point, end-tree talents.

Demonic Sacrifice - Added effect for Felguard: "Felguard: Increases your Shadow damage by 10% and restores 2% of total mana every 4 sec."
Am I the only one that reads this as saying that 41 in Demonology is going to be a possible PvP Spec? With a high amount of +Int gear I wonder if you could keep up with the mana drain of near constant Bolts.

The new rogue skill works just around like this:
Envenom
25 Energy
Finishing move that consumes doses of Deadly Poison on your target, dealing instant poison damage for each dose consumed. One dose is consumed for each combo point.
1 point: 176 damage
2 points: 352 damage
3 points: 528 damage
4 points: 705 damage
5 points: 881 damage
Someone please explain to me why I wouldnt just use 10 more energy for an eviscerate and continue to let my deadly poison tics go off for more overall damage in the same period of time?

I am finally pleased with the warrior changes, it only took them years to implement a trainable form of Tactical Mastery, which has been something people have been requesting 2 months since release.
I am happy regardless though, the new blood frenzy is useful in PvP and will give a huge contribution to MS warriors in raids.
As far as locks go, like they need buffs :P A 30 yard ranged stun on top of fear and deathcoil :/
Fear the dumplings!

And where's the love for Destructo Warlocks?

bastards! I thought I finally figured out how to spec come expansion but now demonology looks interesting again
Euphorion Oct 17th 2006 8:24PM
Dahlaine, I think the benefit of Envenom lies in the fact that poison damage isn't generally reduced by armor like physical Eviscerate damage is... so it might actually be a damage boost in certain situations. Like all rogue finishing moves, it'll have its uses.

7: I take all I can get against invisible guys who stunlock me and have a 90% spell resist while wiping all DoT's

Being a mage I am somewhat disheartened that all of these classes keep getting such nice tweaks and my poor mage has only been looked at once(that I can recall) for a talent change in the expansion. If it keeps up I may have to end up rolling a warlock so I can really enjoy the end game and I hate starting new characters.
Grats to those classes that are getting the close attention.

As a demonology 'Lock I was dissapointed with the original changes but this new tree is making me smile from ear to ear.
