Around Azeroth: Preecher's big day

Preecher of Cenarius sends in this screenshot of what is clearly a very big achievement -- though it's too bad that big pile of gold isn't lootable. If you don't recognize the location, it's the end of Uldaman, a place few people seem to bother to visit. (Myself, I hate that place!) But if you do go, you can see what awaits you.
So do you have a unique shot of Azeroth that you'd like to show off to the rest of the world? Tell us about it by e-mailing aroundazeroth@gmail.com! You can attach a picture file or send us a link to one -- and don't worry about formatting, we'll take care of that part.

Uldaman sucks. And the end boss has been a buggy encounter since beta. I know most people only do the quests that only cover about 3/4 of the instance. I know that I avoid that place like the plague that it is. Except for enchanter runs.

Wow, I've been through Uldaman several times, and never had bugs on Archaedes. (I assume that's the buggy boss?) I kinda like that instance. There is a ton of XP at the end from all the quests, and you get the cool Raiders of the Lost Ark encounter, too. If you're in your mid-40's, I think you should go check it out.

why does everybody seem to hate uldaman? it has always been one of my absolute favorite instances. its a fairly unique area with more lore in it than anything before it and makes for a fun challenge.

I think I can speak to why everyone hates Uldaman.
There's too much of a curve to the dungeon. It starts as a high 30s/low 40s dungeon, but the final boss encounter requires high 40s/low 50s to defeat. So many groups go in, encouraged by initial success, to be frustrated with more and more corpse runs the further they advance. And players in the low 50s aren't interested in attempting the dungeon anymore -- they've moved on to Sunken Temple already.
I agree, though, the Raiders of the Lost Ark encounter is a lot of fun, and the first couple of bosses are easy enough to push through. But fighting through the dungeon to the end? A real pain. The lore, however, is very interesting... and that alone makes it worth running beginning to end at least once. (Which is all I, personally, have done.)

Low 50's? I did the whole thing about 6 times as level 43, with other members ranging from about 40 to 46, and never really had too much of a problem.
The last boss fight is AWESOME, I goddamn loved it!

"For the Maaaaa-kers!"
"Come, ye stone servants, defend the tablets!"
How can you not like that?

That's a great shot.
Kudos to the submitter - it's every dwarf's dream come true to reach the end of Uldaman :)
He captured it perfectly!
