I'm sorry, but #8/alvinflummox wins this round.

As you blow holes in rocks and burn down trees, the old man will occasionally require you to pay him for the door repair charge, but it is the moblins (moblii? moblum?) who give you moneyz.

--Someone who's played WAAAY too much Zelda...and still has the original manual and game cartridge and even the little hint guide that came with it with an incomplete map of the overworld and a couple of the dungeons.
