Oh no! How will we complain about nerfs?
The WoW.com forums are going to be down for 8 hours today starting at 1 PM EST for a little maintenance. According to Eyonix this downtime will allow Blizzard to migrate the forum database to another server, which will hopefully improve performance for both the forums and the WoW.com website itself. All of this is well and good, but Eyonix is really ducking the major problem. During the downtime, where will people go to flame others under the guise of a level 1 alt, complain endlessly about both real and perceived class nerfs and write long, insightful farewell letters when they decide to quit the game? I mean, if it weren't for the forums, we would never have known that Blizzard favors warlocks and hates druids. This will truly be eight hours that will test the very fabric of the WoW community

You are so right, I can't believe how much time people have to complain bout stuff that realy doesn't matter. I have always wondered if Shamans suck so bad because they are underpowered (or whatever) why would you torment yourself by playing one? I for one would not waste my 14.99 tp play a character or race that wasn't fun just so I can complain about it.
If you don't like the toon, scrap it and move on... don't tell me about it :)
*whew* I have wanted to say that for a while....

Imo the forums are a big mistake by Blizz. Psychologically people are more likely to move them selves to write/post/give feedback when upset by something rather than to compliment. By giving all the players an easily accessible forum Blizz has exponentially increased the amount of complaints they've received.
Well over half the posts on the official WoW forums are complaints or whines.
They would've been better off just monitoring unofficial forums if they wanted to pick up the few good suggestions that have been made to date.
Maybe then they wouldn't have made the Shaman imba and nerfed the druids, hunters and pallies.

I kinda figured Bliz did it so folks can vent, rather than a) getting mad and quitting or b) writing letters to everyone and their aunt, making anti-WoW sites, being quite so jerky in game....

"and write long, insightful farewell letters when they decide to quit the game"
Haha, classic!
Every few months I go to the WoW forums and then leave and do not vist for months again once again realizing how lame the great majority of posters are...

Is it just me or are the forums still not up yet? There's much trolling to be done!
