WoW Moviewatch: Level 10 Warsong Gulch [Update]
I came across this video...and there is just something about it in a Napoleon Dynamite sort of way...
[This video is NSFW due to language]
The production values aren't that bad, the music is absolutely terrible, the kid edits the thing to make him look like the biggest pimp in the history of PvP and he uses the phrase "no one can handle my sweet moves". The scary thing? I sort of enjoyed it...once I muted the sound.
[Edited for clarity. Sorry for any confusion.]

yeah fuck macs, who uses that shit anyway, people that have jobs?
kuri Oct 27th 2006 4:50PM
Err, wha?
Do you have a source proving this is some snot-nosed kid? Did you follow him home since buying his new PC? :P

This is one of the worst WoWinsider blog posts ever.
How is this interesting at all? Was it a slow newsday? Hard to believe considering all the crap ive been seeing come out about BC. Was it to just bag on a mac as being a [snot-nosed] children's toy?
I know its jsut a game but come on, have some professionalism.

Aw, but I like SoaD...

Since when is auto-shoot "sweet moves". Kuri and Subhumanze need to get their heads out of their asses. This was funny in a highly retared kind of way.

Uhm, Macs can run Windows, as well as OSX, as well as Linux, so that pretty much covers being able to play any non-console game in existance.
But sticking to facts rather than myths and what you heard from your leet gaming buddies on the internets would be way too close to balanced, responsible journalism. And no one wants any of that seeping into their blogs.
They really shouldn't give you guys quotas to meet. Quality over quantity and all that.

I watched the video. Why is this blog entry anti-Mac? I guess I missed something, but I don't want to watch that soup again.
David Nelson Oct 27th 2006 8:11PM
Heya.
Sorry some of you guys didn't like the post. :( I thought the video was a little interesting.
And we don't have any sort of quota, at least on this blog. Otherwise good old Spencer would be really sweating it out! hah hah
Finally, I in no way meant this as a Mac slam. I work on Macs everyday and I like them just fine. Sorry if anyone took it that way, and I will edit the post to eleviate any confusion.
As usual, thanks for the comments, good or bad. :)
Well, I am off to watch the Tigers hopefully force a game 6. You guys have a great weekend!

That was incredibly well-edited for being such a bad movie. Though I must admit I did enjoy his "sweet moves".
Tigraine Oct 27th 2006 9:23PM
The video was really well edited.. although I really hated the music (i like SoaD usually.. but that really sucked in there), and those really annoying texts that he put into the video ..
and .. err.. btw.. Somehow those alliance ppl where really sleeping wherent they? I mean .. whenever i get into WSG with my lvl 12 hunter i get crits of about 40 when everything is perfect.. and most ppl there have about 400 life .. so without "stealing" any killing blows from the higher-levels that brought them from 100% to 4% there is no really possible way to get any killing blow in such a game..
I mean.. really funny was the start when he was showing of his "skill" with having 4 killing blows.. while other alliance guys had 14 and another horde guy hat 11..
greetings Tig

I liked the intro. It was good. Then it just became another PvP movie except with lower numbers. The dude who made this has potential.
And don't be dissin the System of a Down. :)
Shaggy Oct 28th 2006 1:12PM
Did you look at his Honor Kills though, he had like 59, that was nearly double the other players. I don't recall his death count though. Hunters clearly have an advantage in WSG at lower levels, hunters with any kiting skill that is.

Seems to me the post wasn't a bash on macs - it was just a satire on using expensive editing to produce such utter crap. The mac part came from the fact that macs are used for this type of video editing very often, and such computers are expensive. For this reason...
It's truly hard to imagine how it is possible to have such powerful tools and obvious technical abilities only to produce something so horrid.

Soads cool, nice job edititing to make it almost seem as though a mere level 10 was pimp.
Felmagus Oct 28th 2006 11:49PM
Thanks for watching and putting your input. This video was alot of fun to make. Check out my other videos, it might be more towards your taste. The main reason I made a video like this was to, well, get more publicity :p Level 10 anything is sure to pull some audiences ;)
I'll also be participating in the next X-fire contest. I've been preparing by watching Yoshio and Masaru 98 times. See you in the battlefield, Azeroth.
Wizzmaster Oct 30th 2006 2:10PM
Worst....Video....Ever....Felmagus. You suck at making videos. You suck at even WATCHING videos. Do the world, of warcraft, a favor a stick to eating Chinese food and Pizza Hut pizza. Stay away from making videos. This was a complete waste of my time at work. Thanks ALOT.
Felmagus Oct 30th 2006 2:22PM
So you think you're so awesome? With a name like Wizzmaster? How far do you get with that name? Omg, ur prolly still trying to beat SM! I should tranfer myself along with my turtle and my barbarian war axe of the boar to your server and mongoose bite your nuts! It'll be worth the money to see cry in pain due to my awesome parrying skills.
