Saying it didn't hurt anyone isn't quite true. It wasn't fun getting ganked by them in all of their epics that they maybe have been too bored to fight for, regardless of how many times they cleared the mobs. If you don't like how the game works play another. There wouldn't be much of a game left if everyone could just skip to whatever they wanted.
