I am, like a very scant few of my brethren, puzzled. I don't really care one way or the other that they cheated.
They did. Okay.
They got caught. Okay.
They not only don't seem to care, they're smug about it. Okay.
Now, please explain to me why *I* should be happy or distraught one way or the other.
Oh, they gank you in gear they got by cheating? Move to a PvE server where you can't be ganked by ANYONE or zip it.
Oh, they ruin the game for other people by cheating. How so? What do I care how they got their items? Status you say? WTF do *I* care about their *status*? I'm here to play for me, not to ogle others' uber gear and be all up on their jocks.
And, let's face it. We ALLLLL cheat in our daily lives. I don't know ANYONE who: obeys the speed limit 100% of the time; comes to a complete stop at 100% of stop signs reached. Oh, you drive 60 in a 55 -- CHEATER!!!! Oh, you don't come to a COMPLETE stop 100% of the time at stop signs -- CHEATER!!!! (And not only are you a cheater, you're a CRIMINAL!!!!)
This conversation is virtually identical to the gold buying convo. Why are we in essence regurgitating topics? I thought we determined that cheaters are the bane of society and that if you have ever done anything that isn't on the up-and-up you should go to jail, go directly to jail, do not pass Go, do not collect $200.
I could go on, but what's the point?
