Taking bets on how long this will last...

No, "World of Warcraft Island" is not made by Blizzard -- just in case you were confused. What it seems to be is a web game with turn based combat using World of World of Warcraft graphics, races, classes (sort of), skills, monsters, etc. I'm not sure how or why anyone would have thought this to be a good idea, especially considering that it must have taken some time to throw all of this together. While you can currently create an account and play for free (the game is supposedly in beta status), you do so at your own risk -- who knows what they're doing with the e-mail addresses they collect or whether the game may actually be harmful in some way.

I went to try this out but it was lagging so badly that I couldn't even figure out how to work it.

The same could be said about your comment feature requiring a valid email.
The game is in very early beta which means it's extremely buggy, feature-limited & laggy.. I doubt it'll last long which is why I'm enjoying it in the mean time.

I thought about doing a WoW webstrat (as I have always been a fan of them, and am a coder by trade), but I would have to be concerned about the legal ramifications of such an IP exploit. I would assume that Vivendi will take this down almost as fast as the BC alchemy leak site. My option (if ever implemented) would be a boredom webstrat for my guild (Proudmoore/Alliance: Easy Company) only via our guild site.
