Expansion blacksmithing items

In the most recent professions preview, Blizzard mentioned epic blacksmithing gear that would be upgradable -- it would improve as you progressed through the game rather than being quickly replaced by dungeon drops. Of course, no details were provided at the time. However, the dedicated folks on the World of Raids forums have rounded up some screenshots from the blacksmithing trainer in the beta -- showing what the blacksmith to be can expect from the expansion. There appear to be one-handed and two-handed options for each weapon type, as well as a mail and plate set of armor for the armorsmiths. i got a +dmg mace out of the hellfire instances a while back that easily was on par with the lok'amir out of BWL.
i've also got a few epic smithing patterns waiting for me to (finally) hit smithing 365 (stuck at 360 atm -- if any warr/rogue needs some nice throwing weapons on helllfire and have some mats, contact Argentt...:)
anyway:
eternium runed blade, dagger, 1.7s speed, 34.6 dps
+10 spell crit rating, +180 spell damage
runic hammer, 1h mace, 2.4s speed, 81.4 dps
+14 sta, +50 ap
fel edged battleaxe, 1h axe, 2.2s speed, 81.2 dps
1 red socket, +9 hit rating, +25 crit rating

oh, supposedly there is a 1h mace with some int, mp/5 and +300 healing on it as a craftable item. haven't seen the pattern yet, though.

why, oh why, do people post gear shots with gear on gnomes? A gnome wearing gear is a gnome making said gear dumb looking.

Gnomes are smarter and therefore can make better stuff. That said they look like little kids with weird hair. I have one that makes great stuff considering he's an Engineer.
Meh Gnomes are cute and sometimes almost cuddly with their dagger sized swords.

Too bad the 1h sword is such a fast one. It's a good sword ofc, but i would have prefered a slow one to use as MH for my rogue. Having to spend so much time getting the mats together( as I am sure the mat cost will be crazy) and then having the effective dps cut to 50%(for OH without dual-weild talent) is just a bit of a disapointment.
