When I play World of Warcraft, I usually assume every player is somewhere between 16 and 35 years old. Some a little older than me, and some a little younger. However, tonight I discovered that one of my regular instance partners over the past couple of weeks is not only a little older, she is A LOT older. In fact, she is a 61 year old grandmother. She said her and husband started mudding way back when, and just kept with the hobby and eventually transitioned into Everquest, then into WoW. Oh, and she is also a phenomenal rogue.
I am always shocked when I see older folks playing WoW, but I really shouldn't be. As the tech savvy crowd gets older, we can expect more and more older players. Heck, I hope I am playing World of Starcraft 4 in my retirement village in 50 years.
Have any of you guys run across someone a little older in WoW? What's the oldest player you have met? Do you see yourself playing MMORPGs when you are 60? Or will you have retired your keyboard?

40 here. I have a level 60 Human Priest on Thunderhorn. My wife and I just had twins 5 months ago that has cut into my playing time quite a bit, but well worth it. I love to read peoples reactions when I tell them my age and how surprised people can be about age. This is my first MMORPG and have found it to be alot of fun and am going to continue to play as long as family time doesn't suffer, play alot after 10 pm. It is not the age that matters, it is how you feel that counts.

We have an older guy in our guild (well hes in is late 40's early 50s which is old to a young whippersnapper)
but for some reason like all other older players on our server they always seem to be hunters... really good ones mind you, seem to have a lot more patience for those pulls where you have to get timing just right

Ive seen a 65 grandmother playing. I tlaked about sex with her ;). (Im only 13) but i really dont see myself playing these games when im older, probably be in florida golfing or something.
