Around Azeroth: Questing in Winterspring

Immelmann sends in this screenshot of a quest event in Winterspring. I'm not familiar with the quest itself, but I cannot help but be impressed by a mysterious floating, glowy thing. (Ooh, shiny!)

ah, the escort quest in winterspring.
it starts with someone in ruk asking you to find their assistant in WS. you find her on the road, south of everlook. she asks you to protect her while she gathers research on the owlbeasts.
what follows is one of the more amazing pieces of lore exposition in the game. i rememebr being truly awed by seeing the quest to its end (the SS is of the final moments) and it kind of changed how i saw owlbeasts in general within the game.

I was grinding with my undead warlock on Owl Wing Thicket when a (/spit) human paladin escorted this night elf treehugger into the shrine. I was able to understand the whole dialog... Indeed a beautiful event.

Do you have the name of the quest... perhaps my outlook of the owlbeasts (currently not a good one because I'm not up on my lore) will change also...

It's a great quest. Sadly, she's PvP flagged, so it's a prime target for griefers.
It starts with Moontouched Wildkin, which leads to Find Ranshalla. The final quest is called Guardians of the Altar.

Same as Argent.
I remember thinking that something evil would show up and I'd have to fight it, but I was quite surprised to learn so much about the Owlbeasts. And what's more, two undead guys came up right in the middle of it, but instead of fighting me, they just sat back and watched ti too (though I don't believe they would be able to understand it).
Fun result.

This quest reveals a lot of lore surrounding the Moonkin/Wildkin/Owlkin. The end of the quest is actually quite the tear-jerker. It starts with [55] Moontouched Wildkin (http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=978), and ends with [59] Guardians of the Altar (http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=4901). It's a pretty short quest, and worth doing.

Hey you posted my SS! This was truely one of the better events that I have witnessed in the World of Warcraft. I took a million screenshots throughout the progression of this final part of the quest. I love the winterspring zone in general.

I did become quite fond of the Owlbeast throughout this process. And I felt bad that they went mad.
