Breakfast Topic: Favorite quest chain

There are so many great quests in the game, but some of the most intriguing ones are the longer chains. And while the quests themselves may be annoying hunts for rare drops, sometimes the entertaining quest text in between is all worthwhile. My absolute favorite chain in the game has to be the one given by the charming Apothecary Lydon in Tarren Mill. He has such amusing dialogs that I can't help but giggle whenever I get a new Horde character into the 20s and run off to do those quests. He's such a charmer, with lines like:
There we go! Ah, nothing brightens a gloomy day in these miserable foothills like bringing a little suffering into the world.
So do you have any favorite quests chains in the game? Things you go out of your way to find whenever you're playing a new character?

Hands down, the Linken quest chain in Un'Goro. All the Nintendo and Zelda references throughout it were just too damn cool.

The best quest so far is "are we there yeti" from Winter Springs. You can't beat the comic genius of lines like "Why do you chase me mechanical yeti? Why?"

The Defias Brotherhood quest line is always fun. It really contains just about every possible quest type, and as a finishing touch you get to run through your first instance.

I do enjoy the "Test of X" chain starting in Thousand Needles, mostly because the first test has you jump off a 200 foot drop. Easiest XP ever.

did you made the Rakh'likh-quests in blasted lands starting at the Fallen Hero of the Horde? A really nice quest series with much gold (about 70g at lvl 60) and some nice items (Shard of Afrasa, Necklace of Sanctuary, Demon's Blood,Demon Hide Sack (16 Slot).
The quest series told you some parts of the story of the blasted lands and about the demons who survided in azeroth the big clash.

I love those horde Quests in Hillsbrad that send you out to kill all those alliance farmers and stuff. Really cool Quests, giving you that epic feeling that you are really in a War..

My personal favorite has always been Field of Grief, aka the pumpkin quest, from Tirisfal Glades. An excerpt, via Alla:
"Stay away foul and unholy creature! May the Light protect me! The Scarlet Crusade shall rid Azeroth of your... oh wait. Is that food for me? I am so hungry..."
"By the Light! Finally some food! Sweet, sweet pumpkin...."
Captured Scarlet Zealot says, "I... I... don't... feel... right..."
Captured Scarlet Zealot says, "My mind... my flesh... I'm... rotting... !"

The quest in which ends with The Battle for Darrowshire is my personal favorite and look forward to doing on every toon I make.

My favourite is a 30 something quest given by some NPC in the Thousand Needles called : Dorn Plainstalker.
It starts with the test of strength, then test of faith and finally test of lore.
The test of faith is really fun, you are basically teleported to the top of one of the needles and supposed to jump so as to prove your faith.
The quest brings you to discover the tunnel between Stonetalon Mountains and Ashenvale.

My favorite quest series starts with a Night Elf in the Shrine of Aessinna(Can't remember her name - or the Shrine's correct spelling) in Ashenvale. Essentially, she sends you on a hunt to find the missing commander of the Sentinel Army in Ashenvale. What makes this quest so epic is that it ties together the Worgen in Ashenvale with the Worgen in Duskwood - and, in fact, explains the presence of the Worgen in Duskwood.
Second favorite would be helping the Night Elf and Gnome stationed in Stonetalon mountains. Also, names I can't remember.

The "Missing Diplomat" chain's a personal favourite. You end up gumshoeing through Stormwind, chatting to the mysterious Elling Trias (now there's something you should put on the Breakfast Topics. Just *who* the hell is he and why does he seem to be the go-to guy for any Stormwind quest?), beating up suspects in Menethil, and finally trekking off into the deeps of Duskwallow Marsh.
It peters out rather disappointingly, but other than that it's one of my favourite quest chains ever.

My favorite is to camp the Horde doing that quest :)

I completely agree.
I quite like the Pally Tome of Valour/Test of Rightousness quest chain. It starts off pretty dammed hard with a heap of Defias attacking you and takes you through three different instances (Deadmines, Shadowfang Keep and Black Fathom Depths). And at the end of it you get one of the best weapons in the game.
I just hope that the Blood Elf pallys get as tough a quest.

The whole quest line 'Of Love and Honor' that leads to Tirion Fording is a great quest line.

I can't remember the chain's name, but the 'Save the Dam' series originating in Loch Modan is my all time favorite. It may not be as funny as some others, but it is really engaging and works well to write you into the arch narrative.
On the flipside, there are a few very poorly written quests. I had never really appreciated the caliber of most, or for that matter given any thought to the different voices behind the quest architecture until stumbling upon a few (particularly in Stranglethorn Vale) that felt as though they had been written by a 9th grade D&D dungeon master. The worst trait I've come across is to use the quest text as a window into your character's inner feelings, etc. "You feel cold" and the like. Bad bad bad.
I am pleased that these poor examples are so few and far between, and for the most part, I think it is a very well written game that can be mostly unlocked by following the bread crumbs dropped from mission texts. That said, I still usually have thottbot open on my laptop when I play...

My favorite quest will always be the one in the starting horde area, where you get to smack the sleeping orcs with a club... :P

I LOVE the Green Hills of Stranglethorn quest chain. Nothing like slaying mobs for hours and hours hoping to get 1 of 24 pages to drop. And the rewards? They're terrible! I love it!
I also love walking on broken glass and ramming pens into my eyes! ;-)

I loved the Horde quest chain around Crossroads involving killing many Kolkar. The final quest in the chain is maybe my favorite in the whole game, the one where you have to kill the Warlord guy in a big battle. Horde fighters spawning every few seconds and Kolkar spawning every few seconds, its one of a very quests that do this. I would LOVE to see more of these!

The Missing Diplomat line, the VC line and the Blasted Lands Raze'likh line. All are epic questlines. The Missing Diplomat actually brings in stuff from WCIII, the VC is the only one to go from a zone to an instance within the questline, and the Blasted Lands Raze'likh is just so fun and has awesome rewards, and took me from 57 to 59.8!!!
