Forum Post of the Day: Grand Marshal For A Year
Do you know what fascinates me more than someone who has the determination or the single mindedness to do something over and over again? Nothing. There is just something about someone with that kind of drive to tirelessly do the mundane. You know what is almost as fascinating? The reaction in the forums to someone like that.We have already met Longarms, who may or may not still be Grand Marshal on Earthen Ring (I'd check, but the WoW.com site isn't loading for me tonight for some reason). Now I'd like to introduce you to Kuroma from Daggerspine. Kuroma, in ten days time, will have been Grand Marshal for over one year. The predictable taunts of botting, multiple players on the account and no life are out in full force, making this thread one you should not miss.
Have you seen an interesting thread in the WoW.com forums? Please let us know!

I dont see whats wrong with PvP'ing all the time its just like any other competitive online game like counter-strike, fighting another team to get kills and win the match(im oversimplifying i know). The only difference is in WoW you get in game rewards for PvP'ing a lot instead of just a "wow j00 toaly pwn" on counterstrike

Difference between the bot complaints and the no life complaints: the latter are right.

While that's all good and great for him, think of the other pvp'aholics on his server who couldn't get to that rank. Is one reason why I like the new system, because rank 14 can be "held" by muliple people at a time in the fact that you can buy the gear.
Oh, and the difference between viewing PvP'ing on WoW to competive Counter-Strike: CS has international tournaments, with large cash prizes (saw something on MTV about the world's best girls team winning about 10kUSD per team member), and WoW just has what, bragging rights and nothing international?

Everyone on daggerspine who PvP's knows this moron.
My guild has actually tracked him on the hour in Bg's ...we have differ time zone players.
This mofo plays 24 hours ..how many times a week ..we dont know. But for one weekend 24 hour period we had guildies confirm him in BG each hour.
No way in hell ONE person is playing that Druid. We believe he has brothers sharing his account playing at all hours or friends.
Is this fair ? I dont thinkso to alliance players on that server. One account and that one character should be played by ONE person...not multiple.
How can any LEGIT player compete with a multi user account? They cant.
I wouldn't put it past the latter accusations that he has some company playing his alt but I say 5% chance of that service..but rich punk kids may do this.
I believe it is what was on our forums. The claims of trying to reach a certain kill count on that character with the help of friends playing it I believe is true.
but in defense of the alliance skumm bags...This is very unfair....

Could he be using a program that plays for him, like WoW Glider?
daggerspine native Nov 21st 2006 4:19PM
I very much doubt that. Before BG mergers it just didn't seem like it was an automated player.
I have personally singled him out and gone after him...killing him many times in engagements on my rogue his play style changed from time to time....
He was known to try to be a rogue druid..sneak in attack weak players and run off spamming differ forms to avoid roots...he would never get into a serious toe to toe fight if he could avoid it.
There was no real pattern to his playing. SOme days he wouldn't stealth at all and hang back in cast form.
I dont know how glider works but I do know how Walker works for lineage 2...super complex bot program....I very much glider could adapt in so many differ pvp encounters like this druid does.
I am pretty sure more than one player plays that account. Chance I could be wrong..but I highly doubt it.

If his playing style changes the way you said it did, there is a very good chance it is a multiplayer account. The thing about druids is that there are many different ways to PvP effectively, and maybe Player A on his account plays a rogue in his free time and likes to play the cat form, whereas Player B of the same account maybe plays a priest and likes to cast and heal. This reinforces the argument that there are in fact multiple people playing his account. Is this illegal? I dont know; read the terms of use if you care that much.

I do not agree with the above poster, With my druid, I sometimes do feel like healing, while other times I feel like "the rogue like" PvP, which means I play my druid differently from day to day. And I think, one of the reasons the druid for me is fun to PvP with, is that you can choose which class you would like to PvP like.
