Forum Post of the Day: Stupid little wishes

I found this post hiding away in the suggestions forum listing players "stupid little wishes" -- minor (some VERY minor) changes to the game that they'd like to see in the future. Top of the list and a personal favorite is "I wish my guild tabard wasn't tucked into my robe." (What can I say, I've always thought that looked sort of silly.) Do you have your own list of Warcraft's little annoyances? Perhaps you should add them to the thread and we'll see if any of them get changed in the long run. (Not that I'm saying it's likely, but anything is possible!)Filed under: Odds and ends

I wish we could see guildies on our minimap. Maybe have it clickable like a hunters see humanoid/beast/etc. It's a pet peeve of mine that you have to invite them to party to see where they are.

As a gnome my beard sticks out of almost every helm in the game.
Although an annoyance that causes me to turn off helms (that and a lot of them look bad [I really like the crowns though]) I am amused when I wear my Tauren Halloween masks and the moustache sticks out of the nostrils.

I wish Blizzard would hire someone who isn't retarded to design the Rogue Tier 1,& 3-6.
If I have to run around in a Skeletor outfit, you bet your ass I will roll in Bloodfang out of spite.
That said, Whoever designed the Paladin Tier 4 and 5. Give them a raise. Infact, Take all the money they were paying the rogue designer, and give it to the paladin guy.
And finally, In my opinion, Kidneyshot and Hammer of Justice, should only be usable on NPC's Because seriously, Stun locking is the most queer thing in the game, Matched only by fear.

Folks, these are little wishes... things like taming your own mount, or removal of stun effects, are not little.
Anyway, I agree with Kahja about hair... my human mage has big poofy bangs, and when he's wearing his netherwind Crown, they stick through it. I mean... c'mon!
Also, it would be nice if new levels of spells had new visual effects... some stuff I can understand, like buffs, since you rarely see their actual effect, but seeing the same spell whether it's rank 1 or rank 12 sucks on spells like frost bolt. I think the only one I've seen change animations is Arcane Missiles, and at rank 3, it stopped changing. Booo.

i wish gnomes could mount druids in bear form.
and ya i agree with the tabard thing. i bought mine and never wore it cuz it was tucked in. actually i wish tabars were available in different styles, maybe in cloak form, or maybe on your mount.

If you can decline a group invite by clicking the ESC key, you should be able to automatically accept an invite by clicking the ENTER key. It's very minor but i would love that!

The talent screens in the game suck. They should make them mirror the ones on the Blizzard website - add "Reset" buttons, and make them all viewable at the same time (no freaking tabs). Add an "Apply" button to make selections permanent, instead of making each mouse click final. That way, you can play around in-game, or reverse a mistake before the talents are finalized.

I don't see why female taurens should have to use 2 hands when swinging a mining pick or a blacksmith hammer. And can they do something to make the helms for taurens look like they are actually supposed to fit?

I totally agree with comment #3, scrap the skeletor outfit!
my small wish is to increase the range of Blind from arm's length to the range a mage can use a fireball on you, (i suck at pvp against mages... ) :(

I really wish WOW had a way to change the color of your armor. Maybe dye (like GW) or an extension to the crafting skills. It would be so nice to be able to have everything match...

How about getting a haircut in the game? Fable handled this well.
Additionally, Tattoos would be sweet.
Perhaps a whole new skill/job? Tattoo artist FTW!

I second the Talent Preview.
Riddle me this though....why doesn't someone make a Talent preview add-on??? I actually would be surprised if there is one; I haven't researched before posting this. Given its popularity, Blizz would have no choice but to implement it like they did some CT Raid features.

I wish that they would give boars (awesome hunter pets) a swim animation. It ruins the suspension of disbelief when your favourite pet sort of drifts through the water with all legs straight and motionless.
I also wish tabards didn't get tucked into your robe at belt level. And I wish that, if you are wearing a robe, that you could view leggings and boots in a dressing room window.

I wish Shift+b didn't put my shard bag up on the screen. It only contains shards and I don't ever need to see them since the count is now displayed.

I wish that gnomes could run as fast as other classes especially dwarves. Or at the very least they should come with bicycles LOL.

I'm a hunter. I wish I could shoot mobs at close distance with my bow. I mean I've done archery in real life plenty of times and believe me you can shoot something from 1 foot away if you want to. I know that's what the pet and feign death is for but still, in other MMOs you can still shoot the bow from close up and for tight instances this would *really come in handy for hunters and bow users.
