Patch 2.0.1 bug list

No software is bug-free, of course, but this lengthy list of bugs -- compiled by Arafina on the EU forums -- is a bit concerning, considering the patch is set to be applied next week. Many of the listed bugs are minor graphical or sound issues, but I personally prefer to know what I'm getting into before the fact. And if you really want to be informed, you may wish to take a look at the patch notes, too.

Some of these "bugs" aren't really; players seem to be using the post as a soapbox for complaints, and some things seem flat out misunderstood.
"1.2 The names from copied characters has been rejected as being in violation of the Naming Policy..."
Probably because someone with the exact same name already copied their character over, causing the other people to be renamed. The "violation of Naming Policy" is the standard message shown when this happens.
"2.2 Range check in cat form and bear form isn't working correctly..."
Except they go on to say it's working the same way it has "since WoW was created." Get over it.
"2.6 Cat form Prowl animation is irritating."
Sorry to hear that, but it doesn't make it a bug.
"4.3 Mage's Water Elemental won't attack (Water Bolt) at all if you turn on the pet's Passive Mode on after summoning it."
Clearly "passive" means something else to this person.
I'm not trying to say that there are no bugs or that Blizzard doesn't make mistakes -- because there are, and they do -- but some people just take it over the top and ought to be ignored.

I would say that is a bug. My cat can be in Passive Mode but if I tell it to attack it will.

Considering all the major changes coming with how parts of the game functions, I'm not too worried about the "minor" issues. I'm guessing Blizzard just wants to get these changes out and into testing prior to the release of BC so that they aren't having to tackle everything all at once.

Absolutely passive mode non-attack is a bug. I always have my pet on passive in instances b/c I don't know from where I'm going to be hit, but I can direct my pet to attack a mob and off she goes. I think the poster of 4.3 just didn't really explain the problem well.

I've been playing my mage on the PTR and haven't had a problem with this.
