Breakfast Topic: Bugs, bugs, glorious bugs!

Ah, yes, the exciting aftermath of a patch. Battlegrounds have been functioning intermittently at best, faction-specific loot is dropping for both factions, talent trees differ from the PTRs (and the patch notes), re-building my UI seems like an impossible challenge, and newly bugged raid encounters one-shot tanks in the game's best gear. (Though admittedly they've already hotfixed Patchwerk.) So how are you coping? Not having any problems? Taking a break from playing while all the kinks get worked out? Switching to a less problematic class? For my part, I'm hoping some of the worst of it is worked out by the weekend, when I'll have more time to play...!

I'm having fun with new arms tree so far. 2 hours in AB and I have 900ish honor for 1 full, and 2 bombed Arathi Basins. Didn't get my tokens for those that froze up but not bad honor for 2ish hours :) I'm off early Fri 1pm so hoping things are worked out by then. And yes my UI is going to be a pain to get back what I want. You can't even GET to the websites because they are so bogged down, let alone download anything.

Timing is everything. I preemptively downloaded every mod I used pre 2.0.1 which had already claimed to be working. (C'mon Theorycraft, where art thou!?!?!) I also downloaded each purportedly 2.0.1-ready mod that I was interested in TRYING as well. While we had the delays on Tuesday, I put up Christmas deco. Last night was my daughter's birthday so I was able to avoid all of the rolling resarts as well. I have a 7:30 pm appointment this evening. Hopefully, by the time RL settles down, Azeroth will be running more normally and Curse-gaming and all of the other mod sites will be at least SORT OF working. I'm just glad that I'm not being frustrated like so many others. Thanks RL for allowing my not-so-RL to be less stressful!!

I logged for a bit yesterday before the Khadgar server restart, and I was lovin thhe new talents for my rogue. Specifically, Blade Twisting. 20% chance to daze for 8 seconds everytime I use sinister strike? I was rendering mobs defenseless. So yea, I'm lovin the new patch so far.
I say if the number one thing people complain about is the UI, then its a pretty good patch. Most UI weren't intended for the game anyway, and its not up to Blizzard to cater to these 3rd party mods.
Nice job Blizzard! Can't wait for the expansion!

The Faction specific loot (Paladin for Horde, Shaman for Alli) isn't a bug. The patch prepares for the expansion. While some might say it's a bit early, Blizzard probably wanted to get it out of the way so it was one less thing Blizzard had to worry about.

Last night our raid group went to the BWL, something they've done easily in the past. With the errors from addons randomly coming up, macros being suddenly broken, and UIs still messed up even after everyone had logged in the previous day to get ready, there was a lot of screaming going on. They almost called it after the Nth wipe on Razorgore, but pushed forward anyway.
So instead of plowing through BWL like they normally do, they were calling it a night after Vael went down on the second attempt. Just about every class was ready to scream at the changes and some really odd mob behavior. Yey patch week. :P

We had some fun on the Destromath server last night. Un'goro crater suddenly vanished while I was in it, along with mobs disappearing, but able to hit me for damage and me dying because I can't target them.
FUN

The firestone (which honestly never equipped before, but now that it can go in the wand slot, sure, why not?) apparently the firestone will stop working, even if it is equipped. If you unequip it and re-equip it, it starts working again. Also, I don't know why it's on a 10 second timer, because at the end of 10 seconds it just starts the timer over. Which is... strange.
I think it stops working if you die, and res. That's my guess so far. So warlocks, if you use the spiffy little stone, check and make sure it didn't crap out on you if you die. However, spell stones seem unaffected.

On patch day I got on the boat in Menethil, and a moment later the server went down. When I logged back in, I appeard to be hanging in the middle of open space. There was something so comical about my poor gnome's arms rising up as he fell that I couldn't stop laughing. My corpse was shown on the map as somewhere in Thunder Bluff, which is a bit of an issue as I play alliance. Oh well, it was good for a laugh.

hehe, was cheesing a guildie through ZF last night and the entire batch of trolls went up the stairs at once.
Once they were dead, the npcs stood around waiting for the bosses to spawn, it took a couple minutes for the script to finish. :)
Quick way to clear the stairs though ;-)

Hmm... I'm fine so far, except my gnomish universal remote magically stopped working. As I was doing Gnomer at the time, it wasnt s much of an issue as an annoyance. Hurry up and fix it blue!
