Judgement dropping for Horde? Working as intended.
A few different folks have reported in the Blizzard forums that some pally gear has been dropping for the Horde in the raid instances, and shammy gear has been dropping for the Alliance. Is it January 16th yet? Can I go ahead and make that Blood Elf pally? Uh....no. According to Drysc in the World of Warcraft forums, the drops were a known problem, and a small price to pay to get the patch into our hands. As you can imagine, the forums are full of angry players. One Horde guild reported getting two Judgement Crowns off of Onyxia. Ouch. Not the end of the world, of course, but plenty frustrating. What I don't understand is why they can't adjust the loot tables for the time being, as it doesn't seem like something that complicated to do. However, I know about as much about complex computer gaming code as I do about launching rockets, which is to say, not a whole heck of a lot.
So...have any of you Alliance guys come across any sharp looking Earhfury gear?

That would really be a pain, I have been out of wow for the week *school building up and such* but how serious is this problem? I don't mean is it an annoyance because it is clearly but how often does the pally gear drop?

We did a few MC bosses just to cut our teeth on new talents. Shadow priests and feral druids a plenty. Earthfury dropped off mag. For our guild this isnt a big deal, the tokenized item drops from Naxx negate this problem. However, I still feel pretty bad for those guilds that are having a tough time getting people together for BWL this close to the patch. Itll probably be alot harder now.

Deal with it! Stuff drops all the time when i'm running instances that no one can use (Plate/mail without a warrior, +fire spells without a mage... so on) so sell it, or keep it til you have a shammy/pally (unless its bop). Sheesh

Next month no one is going to care. I just don't see how this is a big deal.

Yep, there was a guy screaming in IF cause Earthfury dropped for his guild run. Sorry, but I just found it to be immensely amusing. It's a patch guys, this type of stuff happens every time. Relax. I admit, it's frustrating having to go out and find new mods. Especially since I had my last setup to the point where I really liked it, but I have found some new mods that I wasn't aware of before that look like they will be very helpful, so it's all good.

My guild (Claw Elite on Draenor) went on an MC run last night and I saw by the howls of pain that they got some Earthfury gear. I don't remember what piece in specific.
Disappointing, but I don't think that it was the end of the world either. These problems will solve themselves, as some others have noted.

Free shards for those who run. Also can bank/sell the BoE to support guild pots and whatnot.

Last nights MC farm run my guild ended up with earthfury off of each of the first 3 bosses, with Garr being the first to not give us free nexus crystals.

Even if they implemented it with the expansion release, people would be crying because you won't see any alliance shamen or horde pallies able to run MC for a few weeks.

Shammy pants off Rag, nuff said.

I found it rather cheap that Pali'sucks was complaining that Drysic hadn't answered the question-- the instances are now as they should be when we've got Palis and Shammies on both sides. Why is this a shock to ANYONE?
Am I allowed to go whimper away the night because I can't use the Jewelcrafting Kit that's on sale at the mining supplier? Or how about that I can't train the drool-worthy gobbie engineering helm until I get to 350 eng?
I am rather shocked that a group of folks with such a high view of their own intellect would NOT realize that the drops will now support all the options in Burning Crusade.
Does this sound pissy? It is, a bit. Grow up, folks. A week ago y'all were complaining that the Raid drops weren't going to be worth much post-BC.

Really, I'm looking forward to it. We'll have several shaman in need of good gear about 3 weeks after the patch, and it will be nice to have some MC epics banked for them to give them a head start. Besides, if they don't want it, they will sell very, very well on the AH :) Plus, as others said, tokenized system in Naxx gets around this problem.

on my first ubrs run i got the shaman shoulders and now i look like a night elf bottle opener

4 Shammy pieces - 2 of which are BoE. Hence 3 or 4 shards. All in MC up to and including clearing Baron. Due to CTRA issues and UI problems, we started MC later than normal, went a bit slow at first, picked up speed toward the end.
I think most people either weren't around for it or have forgotten that at one time, Shammy gear dropped for Alliance (and vice versa) in all end-game instances, including the DS0 stuff. So...nothing really new and now we get the ability to make more Nexus Crystals. More Naxx attunements!

We'll need screenshots then. I do remember seeing a Tauren in full Dreadmist one time...that was interesting.

Although I feel bad for any guilds that are seriously raiding MC/BWL currently, it won't make a difference in a month.
As long as they keep my dumplings on the loot table I'll be happy >:D

Did a guild of MC tonight (alliance) and guess what great gear dropped for us off of Rag? Legplates of Ten Storms :)
It was more amusing than anything.
