Around Azeroth: Looking towards Feathermoon

Jason sends in this shot of Feralas looking out towards the island stronghold of Feathermoon. A boat comes around to this dock to take you there -- though I have been lead to believe that it's actually faster to swim, I've never bothered to confirm this myself.
Do you have a unique shot of Azeroth that you'd like to show off to the rest of the world? Tell us about it by e-mailing aroundazeroth@gmail.com! You can attach a picture file or send us a link to one -- and don't worry about formatting, we'll take care of that part.

I could be wrong, but I think if you try to swim you get hit with the "exhaustion" debuff.

There is a rock straight ahead of the pier. Swim to it, walk over, swim to next rock, walk over, swim to shore.
Easy. And yes indeed, if you try to swim it directly, the only way is straight north/east from the Feathermoon dock (you will swim into the elite giants though).
Any other route leads to fatigue. Hope that helps ;)

Perfect spot for priests to hit levitate and simply run to the other side. Levitate tends to expire right after you're on solid ground again.

I've swam all the way before. I just went off the dock and went the straight path...
And didn't die.

I've raced the boat to the stronghold by swimming straight across.
I win every time.
Much better to swim than to wait for that slow thing.

I dont know why there are people saying you'll die swimming to feathermoon rather then taking the boat. On the mini-map it looks like deep water but its not you can just make a streight swim to it. I do it all the time, its much faster and less annoying to just put my toon on auto-run and let her swim across then wait for the boat when I know no ones going to be coming off it when it gets there. you can even swim to the isle of dread or whatever it is from the southern shore if the forgotten coast, theres a small spot where fatigue will try to get you but if you dont stop you can go right through to it no problem.
