Rogues want ferrets!

No, really.
It seems that a ton of new pet options have appeared in the new talent trees in 2.0.1 -- ice mages got water elementals, balance druids got those annoying trees and demonology warlocks can now summon felguards. And in the expansion, two new classes -- priests and shamans -- will be able to summon temporary combat pets at higher levels.
Therefore, it comes as no surprise that rogues (semi-seriously) want in on the action. Three months ago, Eskar proposed that rogues be granted the notoriously thieving ferret as a pickpocketing combat pet, and his petition is still going strong today. Community Manager Nethaera crushed Eskar's dream by noting that ferrets are still illegal in some states, and to be true to reality, the ferret would have to occasionally become confused and attack you. Rogues then asked for spider monkeys and/or rabid raccoons.
Other classes then joined in on the combat pet action. Warriors asked for throwable sharks (?!), while paladins demanded fluffy bunnies. What kind of combat pet do you think your class could use?

I play a lvl 26 mage, I think we should be able to summon an elemental at a lower level and keep him around for longer than 45 seconds!!!!

Warlocks could pretty much use any other class as a pet since they are vastly superior to all classes.

I think as a rogue, any sort of healing pet would be wonderful. But, then we'd almost be unstoppable.

Warrs should have Rock golems that would be pretty cool, Or maybe they should gain Aspect of the spider, kinda of like the hunter aspects exspet this alows the war to grow 6 extra arms and crawl up walls..

it would have to be a sneaky pet and i like the idea of it only bieng able to pick pockets. Maybe a eye gouge ever few rounds...8)
I dont mind pets as long as the game doesnt become a pet game. Short timers and low damge or a single effect is more than enough.
they have a hard enough time with balance lets not throw a ton of pets into the mix.

My rogue wants a trunk monkey (google search the videos if you have not heard of trunk monkey). I think the truck monkey would be a great companion for me...and I will teach it to sap!

Hah! Try to play a hunter, especially into the higher levels, and see how much of an easy button you get with pet. So what I can solo elites 2 levels higher than me...so can a rogue if he knows how to play his class...and a druid, and a warrior, etc. L2P.

@12 SHHHH!!! Never mention the word Warrior in posts these days. They're kinda twitchy about that last patch thing still...I would say a pet blizzard dev., but I would be worried about abuse issues.

Hmm...
I don't think a specific class needs a pet, I basically think I need a Pet that does go to work for me and bring home money so that I can play more WoW :)
