Warrior mace spec hotfixed: fewer procs, more filling
A quick heads-up to anyone planning Warrior specs or gear: apparently the boys in Blue decided that the Warrior mace spec was proccing too often, and a hotfix is being issued "sometime soon". From Tseric:"The proc [after hotfix] should roughly be 11% with a 3.80 speed weapon, 8% with a 2.80 speed, and 4% with a 1.70 speed.
The rage awarded should now be 6 points on proc."
Apparently the proc rate pre-hotfix was along the lines of three times as high, though it only gave 2 points of rage per proc, a third as much as it does now. So the net effect of the fix would seem to be fewer stuns, but the same amount of rage, over time (in bigger chunks). If I'm calculating correctly, the new proc rate should be about 1.62 procs per minute. For comparison, a Crusader enchant is said to proc once per minute (on average).
Any thoughts?

Ouch! Well, saw that one comming for a long time, but this nerf is kinda hard, from 33% to 11%. Good thing is, I still didn't buy my HWL weapon so I've some time before I decide if I want to go with the mace.
What bugs me more tho, is that, as 80% of warriors point, they fix things that benefit us in days, and leave bugs that gimp us unfixed for 2 years (intercept missing, getting out of combat after everyone mounted up and rode away).

No warrior uses mace spec anyway.

I just respecced to include mace specialization for the first time with the patch (just to see what it was like), and I'd been wondering how I ever did a rep grind without it.
I'll miss the frequent proc, but I'd be lying if I said my warrior couldn't spare a few extra seconds of unstunned enemies to fight.

I actually used the mace spec after I got a purple hammer as drop. It proc'ed madly often stun locking mobs. If I DW'ed maces it was crazy. I kinda saw this coming. For the spec I just modified an Arms axe spec for maces. Stun locking warriors would definately not be appreciated.

Even after a week of 2.0.1, it was obvious this was coming. DWing mace spec warriors were kinda crazy in PvP - the proc hits really often. As a druid I didn't find it overpowered, but my priest would *not* have appreciated it!

Man I tell ya they are making it harder and harder for warriors every week it seems.
When I think of the defenition of a warrior I think of a class that kicks major ass and can tank like no other...for some reason in wow though we are kinda gimped. I feel like my warrior isnt really good at anything...
Oh well Shaman here I come...

targets became immune after the 3rd proc so wtf was the big deal about it?

Getting stunlocked by Warriors with TuF war ridiculous. A talent like that shouldn't be able to completely shut down healers in that way.
I do hope though that the new % is still worth sticking points into the talent. Given the fact DR applies (although you wouldn't have known it this past week) then this should even out and give a Warrior the same amount of stuns he was getting earlier. He just won't be able to shut down entire classes with a single talent anymore.

*shrug* We're warriors not rogues. Stun-lock is not in our domain. Even Imp Hammie isn't all that great. Maces shouldn't be infringing on the rogues' domain. What was a bit of a nerf before this was the lower rage increase. I mean, c'mon...2 rage? 6 now...that's what I call a buff. So it procs less often? Big deal...I think most warriors would want the increased rage to make up for the normalization nerf. I know I would - I'm swords spec though... :D
