Healing classes and DPS gear in raids

I've played DPS and Healing, and I feel about DKP and Healing gear the same playing either class...

Healing Gear only helps the raid. If the tanks want to stay alive, they need to spend their DKP to buy me healing gear. I'm spending my DKP stealing DPS gear from the mages.
