Breakfast Club: Class in session
.jpg)
We enjoyed talking about guilds, no doubt. But what kind of Breakfast Topic did we enjoy chatting about more than any other in 2006? Classes.
- Have you heard about the Burning Crusade expansion? Hah. Anyway, Elizabeth wonders what class you folks will be playing come the expansion. I am working on a rogue and a pally, but I might just start a warrior come January 16th. Heck...who am I kidding? I can't give up my super-overpowered warlock!
- We have been playing the same nine classes for darn near two years. Wouldn't it be nice to have some new classes to play? I liked the idea of a battlemage, while necromancer and bard were some of the favorite choices of the comment crew.
- Which class is the the easiest? Hunter? Warlock? Well, Elizabeth says hunter. I had an easy time with my warlock. Comment crew agreed with Elizabeth.
- Beyond how easy a class is to level, or how powerful it is, the question is simply...which class is the most fun to play? I really, really enjoyed my priest way back when, and I am really liking my rogue right now. I'd say warlock, but you are probably sick of hearing me talk about my damn warlock.
- Everyone remembers their first. First class that is. Mine was a rogue, which I retired, but have recently revisited. Good times!
- Finally, every class got a review. Some liked theirs more than others. As a priest when they were reviewed, I was initially happy. Then not so much.

Come expansion I'll be playing a Draenei Shaman.
New classes I'd like are Bards. I love the idea of being a little Gnome (I love Gnomes) playing a guitar and buffing/debuffing...awesomesauce.
Easiest class? Probably Hunter. Got one to 40 before I got utterly bored of sending in my pet and pretty much just autoshooting stuff to death. Dull, dull, dull.
Most fun? Paladin. I spent months slagging them off until a friend finally said 'roll one and you'll see why' so I did and damn, I was so so wrong. I love my Pallie.
Did I like my class reviews? Rogue was ok. Paladin came before I started playing one so I've only known them since. My warrior enjoyed his change, though it changed very little!
First class was my Gnome Rogue, Fidget. Loved it at first. Was a complete n00b, using swords with a dagger build, spending talent points accross all 3 trees whilst levelling, not even having gouge on my action bar...god I was poor! Now though, I consider myself a pretty damn good Rogue and I can't live without my gouge!

In the expansion...not sure yet, BE Warlock or mage possibly.
New classes...eh, I'm still working through all the other classes so until I have a 60 of each class, I'm not looking for anything more. :)
Most Fun: I have to agree with paladin...I was able to stick with it and be useful to teammates. Tankadin even before the 2.0 patch...and I'm back to that spec again and enjoying helping tank in MC. ^_^
I liked the BC changes to pallies most...I missed the first review before that so I've always played with what it was afterwards.
First Class: Glip the gnome warlock...I still have him, level 14. One of my "to-be-played" alts...:P

Ill be sticking with my hunter / warrior / druid combo.
Ive been having alot of fun with the warrior.
Id say the hunter is one of the easiest classes to play, harder to master of course.
Its alot more satisfying to whack someone around with the warrior than it is to do the same with the hunter. Less of a tactile feel to it :p

my first character was a human warrior. It didn't take me long to roll a pally after that. Now my pally is 46 and my warrior is 16.

First to 60 with a human warrior and enjoyed it for a while until constant tanking got boring. Played around with all the other classes to 30 or so and when I hurd about the druid flight form I rolled a druid and haven't looked back. The most fun to play IMO.

I'm planning on playing a Draenei Shaman, though I may level up a different character first.
As for easiest class; maybe I need to go back and play my Hunter again, cause they weren't the easiest class to play at release. I'd say Warlocks are much easier from my time playing them.
And I could see a dps/buffing hybrid (like a bard or spell dancer) being a real posibility. I think something along the lines of the Diablo Necromancer Class (will several weak pets) would be in keeping with the lore as well.

When BC comes out I will continue to play my priest, as i can only play for a limited time a week it will take to long to be able to access new content.
Easiest class - Hunter or rogue, Hunters pretty boring, and rogue can make cash quickly with pick pocket, and their great fun.
First class was a mage, still got him but he's only at 36, and he never completed an instance! Dropped as the fight, drink, fight side of a mage got tedious.
Inregards to new classes, Monk FTW. A clothie melee class, very quick, disarming skills and armour that goes up with agility and no weapons! Battle mage has been suggested but that is so class to a shammie.

My first character was a NE hunter (I know...how ordinary). I have gotten bored with her (she is lvl 42 now) and have recently rolled a human rogue - lvl 19 as of this weekend. So far I'm loving my assassin rogue - very fun to play. I have tried many of the other classes, but never got past about lvl 10 before moving on. Burning Crusade...hmmm...not sure yet.

My first was a NE Druid, Voldin on Garona (PvE). Started with a balance build up through level 40 to Hurricane (pre-1.8 patch). Then after 1.8 played Mookin for a while, but soon switched to Feral for lack of PvP ability in WSG. From about 45-ish to 55-ish was full Feral and had built up my gear to a, what-I-thought-was-massive-at-the-time, 108 DPS in cat form. Then after reaching rank 3(for the vendor discounts) and reaching level 60 some time around New Year '05, I switched to 0/19/32 and became one of the most versatile druids in our guild. Main Healing in Ony and MC, Tanking Domo adds and number of instances in Dire Bear form, and Mana Battery to boot. I'd have to say that pre 1.11, I was an expert druid.
Then, I moved to Hakkar(PvP) and rolled my troll shaman, Bunkai. I've been back to Garona twice since then, and for less than an hour both times. My shaman is now my main, nearly full enhance spec and working on my HWL gear. He's currently sporting an unbuffed attack power around 718 with a 2H (UTF) DPS of about 124 and 20% crit. I'm sticking with him as my main for dual wield now and in the X-pack, but will probably also roll a BElf Frost/Arcane Mage.

I got to say, since the patch, I have started playing a druid, and man it is fun. They are much more versatile now, and even though I'm going resto, I find that I can still tank, and dps as good as the rest of em. I have a 60 priest and I'm just tired of healing and dying, I'm specced holy, and am useful for raids and dungeons, but soloing is a nightmare, and I might as well forget about pvp.

Expansion class: I'll stick to my main character, a Druid. I want to get her up to 70, see how she does, and how the population's views on Druids change.
New classes? Despite enjoying more options, I think it's a terrible idea to add new classes. More classes means it becomes even harder to balance the game. I think most of the situations are covered by the current classes. Heck, they even had to mimic Paladins with Shamans there to cover needed skills in raids before they decided to open the classes to both sides. Once the current classes are settled in, and new ideas for required skill sets get invented, then I'd be happy with a new class.
Easiest Class? I'd say Hunter or Mage. You can pick them up right out of the box and more or less button mash your way up to 60, and then keep doing that throughout raids. If you want to pvp with them you can push ahead and learn all their little nuances too. They're simple to play, but not boring. I always recommend them to new players.
Most Fun? That's a toss up. I love my druid, but that's just me!
Yeah, my Druid is my first class. I've got a few others but now that I've learned how to play this complicated class I love it. I get to be rare and desired in parties, and I can cover any role that needs filled there!
Reviews? I don't really have an off-hand opinion. Thanks!!
