Impending free transfers to ease queues
As I'm sure many of you have noticed, server queues are back in a fairly big way. My own realm (Shadow Council) has been experiencing 500-ish person queues at peak times since a bit before Christmas. I know that's not huge, but we never used to have any queues at all. I've heard similar reports from many other realms, most of them worse than mine. It seems that Blizzard is aware of the problem, and planning on implementing some good ol' free character transfers from impacted realms. In the words of Tseric:- In the past week, we have seen something of a surge and we are already in the works to provide Free Character Transfers for a number of realms to deal with spiking of queues. Obviously, we will deal with the most severe realms first, so if you do not see your particular realm on the first list, it does not indicate that you will receive no assistance for this in the future.
Keep watch on the General stickies for announcements relating to Free Transfers within the next couple of days.
Further Edit: Battlegroups have been announced. Nazjatar and Baelgun are in Shadowburn, and Alterac Mountains and Arygos are in Nightfall.

It seems kind of silly to add new servers to transfer off of now. I will be pretty pissed if there are no BC new servers.

The really insane thing is that a bunch of epic'd 60s are going to go to these new realms and find them deserted! Then anyone new who rolls there from the beginning will have these decked out 60s/70s to deal with!!!
I also would like to know which battle groups these realms are in. My old old Horde Shaman is on Mal'Ganis, and I'd be tempted to transfer him if it meant I could join BGs against (or with) some of my current guild-mates on their horde alts as well.

What's moronic is Blizzards answer is to quit your guild and move servers. Very intelligent. And if you post anything with the word Queue in it on Blizz forums.. it's deleted or locked. Pathetic.
If people get home after work.. and yes alot work.. then sit in a queue for 45-60 minutes average..they are supposed to be happy with it apparently, and not post asking why, or what Blizzard intends to do about it.

I personally never cared about transferring from a populated, familiar server to one that's a ghost town and boring because you don't know anyone who plays on it...even if it's a free transfer the whole idea stinks like flies on sh*t =P
