Breakfast Topic: Unexpected uses

One of the things I like about WoW is finding new, unusual ways to use old skills. For instance, I recently observed a bear druid using Feral Faerie Fire on critters. When I asked him why, he responded that it keeps him in combat, preventing rage decay. It's a very clever tactic, and one I'll be using once I get my druid high enough for it (then again, I'll probably be in cat form most of the time by then). Another classic off-schedule use is Detect Magic as a marker ("attack this mob" or whatever), though that's largely been eclipsed by raid markers. And speaking of raid markers, they're quite useful even when solo, since you can see them through walls.
What are you favorite unusual uses for skills or features?

Don't you need to be in a group to use raid markers?
But yes, I use detect magic to let people know which mob I'm going to sheep. Still doesn't stop the trigger happy hunter from hitting his multi shot and breaking it, but hey, at least most people get it the first or second time I say it.

took me awhile to realize that iceblock can get me out of basically anything; polys, charm, virtually any slowing effect.

Last night in Scholo I was healing myself between battles by killing rats in druid cat form, which frequently crits and fires the improved leader of the pack healing ability.

For Warlocks:
Eye of Kilrogg pulls. Some groups can be split apart by summoning an Eye, moving it into their aggro radius and then quickly away. If you had targetted a mob that stayed behind (and got his buddies far enough away) you can toss insta-casts on him, pulling just him and whoever is near.
My alt lock is only 28, so im not sure if higher level mobs notice the eye, but it works well on the Gnolls in Redridge.

Warrior:
Killing rats on ab farm to get rage.
Using blood rage to put myself in combat to prevent sap (if berserker rage is on cooldown). Can then toggle stances to keep combat up.
Some basic stuff as de-stealthing rogues with demo shout / piercing howl, using intimidating shout as ranged "stun" etc.

My Warrior friend is always using his charge skill on rabbits and the like just for the 10 foot sprint.

Even better with Charge or Intercept - you can drop down great distances that would normally kill your character, so long as you activate Charge/Intercept on a foe before you hit the ground. I do this quite often in AB by selecting a foe, dropping down on them (Death from above!), and hitting Charge when it lights up. I take no damage and am now in combat.

Speaking of seeing through walls, hitting the "V" key and putting enemies health above their heads can also be seen through walls. It's great for when you're ambushing people in BRM, or just making sure pats don't get the jump on you around a corner.

Most mages know this tactic but I thouhgt I could still share it with those that may want to role a mage in the expansion.
You can use blink near the bottom of the fall and you won't take any damage. You won't have to use nearly as many light feathers if you use blink.

Agree at #9: I can drop from any height, as long as there's a mob at the bottom I can charge at.

Earth Shield Shaman
I have a freezing band equipped to get those pesky rogues and warriors off me. When this thing procs, I just laugh at them and it has procced alot :D. We're the only class that doesnt have an incapacitating skill along with druids (unless they specc for bear charge) and you can almost say warriors but they don't count since hamstring lasts for EVER and well they do have intimidating shout (on cooldown). It doesnt really do much against casters except for +10 frost resistance maybe against mages but not too concerned since we've got earth shock and grounding totems. The + frost damage is pretty nice since I buff frostbrand on my weapon anyway.
