Breakfast Topic: Gear we wanted but never got

With the expansion right around the corner, many of us will be setting new and higher gear goals than the vast majority of what was available B.B.C. (that's Before Burning Crusade, natch). I still have a few items on my list that I craved heavily for a long time that I'm probably no longer going to care about once BC hits -- for my rogue the item I always wanted but never got is the Core Hound Tooth. The first time it dropped for my guild, I was outbid by a hunter who had more DKP than I did. The second time it dropped, I was on vacation and not in the raid for the first time in months of perfect attendance. After that it never dropped when I was in the raid, and to this day my rogue limps along with the Gutgore ripper in his offhand, long after scoring my Perdition's for his main hand. So, what gear dreams do you leave behind as the expansion looms?

Well, the other half of the Bindings never dropped for my Warrior, the Chromie Blade in BWL dropped only once that I saw - and promptly was bid for by a Rogue, and I also wanted a QS...never saw a book drop.

Ashkandi... It dropped twice while I was in my guild, and both times went to Pally's with more DKP, then I had to leave the guild as I went off to do my military service... I'm a warrior by the way...

Draconian Deflector.
I'm one of our guilds second-string MTs, but I am a parent of a two year old and I work a lot, so I wasn't ever able to do MC or Ony or AQ40. Once we started raiding ZG and AQ20, good shields became easier to get, at least in theory. It seemed every time I went to UBRS, it wouldn't drop, and everytime I didn't go, it would drop. The one time the planets were in line and it dropped when I was there, a shaman in our guild, also who wasn't ready for MC with any regularity, rolled need with me. He won.
So now I'm bidding on the Skullflame shield in an effort to ditch the horrible Milli's Shield. It's not a bad shield, it's just hideously ugly. Skullflame is no Draconian, but at least it's a burning skull.

Benediction. Outbitted 3 times, including being outbidden by the guild master on his alt priest, when he suddenly created a new rule that allowed players to use their main's DKP on their alts.
Benediction was the initial reason I choose to play a priest, but.. Damn to hell now. I've got The Eye of Shit and a grudge against loot.

I've always wanted a precisely calibrated boomstick, but its a world drop and I will most porbably not see it before WoW TBC

I made a wish list of gear from MC and BWL 7 months ago when I started raiding, a combination of 5/8 Nightslayer and 3/8 Bloodfang, plus Perdition's Blade and Corehound Tooth, and I just got the laast piece, Bloodfang Spaulders, from our first Chromaggus kill last week. Pretty awesome timing.
Hunter getting CHT over a rogue, pally getting Ashkandi over a warrior, alt priest getting the Eye over a main, sounds like some of you guys have some terrible loot rules, or maybe just assholes who don't follow them.

Benediction/Anathema here too, I started raiding on my priest too close to BC release; would've been a great healing staff, alternatively it's also a nice +dmg staff for levelling in the expansion. Oh well..

Flameguard gauntlets and Onslaught girdle. Flameguard has never dropped for my guild in 7 months of MC, as for Onslaught it dropped once but I was had to go to my grandmothers funeral so it wasnt that big of a deal to me. I think raiding off time(1pm central) sucks and the loot rotation is all screwy.

This may sound dumb, but for me it was my Wildheart chest and shoulders. (I'm more or less a casual player. ) I've gone on more than 25 UBRS runs and i've only seen my chest piece drop once, likewise I've probably done 17-19 LBRS runs for my shoulders with the same result.
But, with the PvP rewards my chest and shoulders were the first thing I replaced. The only reason to even try to get them now is to finish the .5 questline.

DS Helm off of onyxia, it dropped on my first run ever, but the guild was a "loot council" guild so they gave it to who they liked the best, which wasn't me. I got kicked out later from that guild, stayed guildless for a month and on the night that I tried out for my current guild, which I am now the class officer for, we had a double drop. I was outbid on both. Dropped a few more times but since I had gotten the leaf and a few pieces of GS I didn't have the dkp. I still don't have the Dragonstalker Helm to this day.

Judgement Helm from Ony and Rejuvenation Gem. I have done Onyxia dozens of times, and it never dropped for me. I was cursed to never have it. And Rejuvenation Gem to boost my minimal MP5.

Rejuvenation Gem, - healbot druid raiding bwl for almost a year always being outbid by some priest/pally. (I've only seeen it 3 times)
Shard of the Scale aswell, dropped twice, the two times I didnt go.

The rest of the Freethinker's Set.
The rest of the Judgment set.
The Avenger's Set.
Lok'Ammir, Sulfuras, the Dragon Crest Shield, the Herald of Woe, the Zandalarian Hero Charm, and the Shard of the Fallen Star.
I also wanted to see the rest of AQ 20, ZG, BWL, AQ 40, and Naxx. :(

gurubashi dwarf destroyer. Always had a thing for guns in WoW. I suppose outland will be full of them though. I'ts always annoyed me that their wasn't a gun equivelant of Rok'Delar, either.

All I wanted was the Warblades of the Hakkari for my hunter. The main hand atleast dropped EVERY time I went to ZG. I was in guild that used a roll system. Got beat out, by hunters, rogues, and warriors. And once had it handed to another hunter just because he didnt have an epic weapon (neither did I).
