Is Blizzard prepared?

The tagline for The Burning Crusade is "You Are Not Prepared." Based on what I saw tonight, Blizzard is not prepared for the expansion either. It took me awhile to grab a good screenshot, I started out at 583 in queue, 57 minutes. Post after post on the General forums complaining about long queue times. With the number of people coming back to the game for the expansion pack, what kind of queue times and problems can we expect? Oh well, it gave me time to get a few new raids scheduled. Hopefully people can get logged in when I want to start.

Made the sad decision to leave friends and a few guildies behind, but our guild made the (free) transfer from Anvilmar to Baelgun, and boy is it nice to
1. Have no queue whatsoever
2. Being able to see the floor in front of IF bank
3. Stand around with 30-40 60's in IF at peak time, talking about anything and everything, and no one coming up and begging 'gold plz'!

I dont think blizzard factors in how many alts people make. I got a bunch of friends and guild mates who have more then 3 alts (alot of have more then 5). But they arn't all on the same server. I'm guessing its normal... but blizzard cant tell whether they are alts or not so they go and make new servers. Anywho.. the point i'm getting at is alot of the newer servers still haven't filled up (like my server venture co.). So they should move alot of the older servers people to some of those servers. I rolled an alt on my friends server (one of the original ones) and never made it past lvl 10 because the wait times were ridiculous.
Anywho.. I think they should re evaluate the servers that are there and not just keeping adding new ones.

Well it's more or less a shock, on my med-pop server where we *never* had a queue since it opened back in Oct 2005, we started having one.. Three things we've noticed (it's abundantly discussed on our realm forum): people on holiday, all these peeps with suspended subscriptions are coming back for the release of BC, plus more and more transfers from heavy-pop realms looking for a better playing environment. I'd say though the number of returning players is prolly the bigger chunk in our case.

I bet so, although it might be painful. (and also a good new post?)

It's been over a year since I experienced a queue on my server (Uther). So I'm not worried.

I usually VNC to my home PC before I leave work to log in so I'm ready to roll once I get home. Or sometimes I log in while I'm driving home:

Our raid was delayed two hours last night waiting for people to cut through a 500 queue. First hour spent waiting for the bulk to show up and the second hour waiting for a few core players to log in.

Kilrogg-EU is slowly slowly slipping down this route. This weekend, I had to queue for around 10 minutes - the worst I've suffered in the 6 months I've been playing. I don't want to have to boycott the game when the expansion hits, but there's no way I'm waiting to log in for any longer than that. This too will pass. I hope.
