Around Azeroth: Meet Arei

Flyv of We Know on Eitrigg sends in this shot marking the completion of one of the game's many interesting, but somewhat obscure quests. The giant tree fellow is Arei, a tree spirit that you're asked to free (by escorting him towards Ashenvale) at he conclusion of a lengthy quest chain initially given by Eridan Bluewood in the Emerald Sanctuary involving corrupted satyrs. And, yes, this one's on my list of quests I never quite had the patience to see all the way to the end...

They made this quest a LOT easier about a year back. You used to have to escort him to the edge of Felwood, now you just have to get him out of the crater. It's well worth doing, just for the fun of it...

I had a couple of days off raiding during the holidays, and I'm very sick of PvP right now; I completed a whole bunch of quest lines on my lv60 rogue for cash and toy rewards (ie. free enchanting mats) and such; this was one of them. Albeit my guy's level prevented from being a challenge in any way, it's still fun to pursue quest lines for the hell of it sometimes and see what I've missed.

Isn't that the one in felwood where you have to keep hordies from killing him? I fucking LOVE ganking that guy and ruining allies' days! (PvE server too, so it's extra crunchy to the allies that lose) >=]
