Hey, everyone who complained about the Scourge world event being too wussy -- the Burning Legion sends its regards. Eliah Hecht has documented that Highlord Kruul is owning everything on most servers, but no one has answered the question: Is it possible to kill this guy?
Short answer: Yes. He appears to be a renamed Kazzak with most of Kazzak's abilities, plus he has Kazzak's loot table. He seems to hit harder than Kazzak and enrage sooner, but an organized, or even slightly disorganized, raid of 40 people can kill him. WoWWiki has a good strategy guide for Kazzak. Exo and Trans killed him on Smolderthorn, as did groups on Illidan, Medivh and Kalecgos, apparently.
Long answer: Probably not, at least if your server's anything like mine. Kruul heals massively every time he kills a player or pet. So if Kruul spawns near a major city, it's nearly impossible due to the number of deaths. Unless you can clear the area of everything but organized 60s working in a raid group, just get naked, sit back and watch the carnage.

Already? Can't the new NPCs maintain some sort of mystery before some damn group goes and squishes them? BEFORE the expansion hits?

he was ALSO killed, rather quickly I might add, on the server Rexxar by the guild Death Group Eight, on Tuessay too according to the pic was posted on. Kudos to them

I fought him both at the Undercity and Orgimmar. I realized I wasn't any help and ran out of range of his shadow AOE and watched
He was eventually taken down at both places by PUG's

he was killed outside of Ironforge by the Alliance on Lightninghoof around 11am Wendsday morning.

He was taken down on Dark Iron last night by the PAA, quite easily I may add. It was a lot of fun though, and he's pretty neat looking. He also has 2 other big dudes hanging out with him too, and demon dogs spawn all over the place.
This was in the Hinterlands.

He completely owned everything including the king in Ironforge last night on Chromaggus server. Though I did hear that he was successfully taken down earlier in the day at a different location.

In my realm, around 90% of the people in Ironforge came up with some wacky ideas like kiting him to the forge and everyone attacks him there (and spamming general, trade, and yell channel with shouts of "TO THE FORGE"), sending low levels first to serve as meat wall, stating the more people attacking him the more powerful he is (well, in a way, yes, but...), saying he is Illidan so Blizzard won't let us kill the main boss of the game now, and even telling warlocks to enslave him. Of course, around 30 people and pets and guards died each each 5 seconds, or each second if he was in supreme.
The best attemp was for a mixed raid that pulled him down the slope to Ironforge and downed him to 80-85%, before some of those people went and take a quick look at how they were doing. Shrugged afterwards. I just stood out of sight of him the whole hour watching people die and die, pretty sure noone would down him there in my realm.

Kruul was killed by Chromaggus Alliance yesterday while he was wandering around the Searing Gorge.
A couple hours later, he came back to Ironforge for revenge. After one-shotting Magni, he racked up a kill count of alliance that exceeded 4,000.

I made a new character on Antonidas (new realm) just for fun. This event is absolutely destroying the under level 20 population (there was basically no one above level 20 on the realm as of last night). They were trying to kite him to the guards in SW, and Marshal whats his face (the guy on the horse in Valley of Heroes). The guards and NPC basically just stood their the whole time. Poor new servers.

Our guild (Unwanted Council) downed him on Gilneas while he was laying waste to Light's Hope Chapel. Took us a while and we had to keep telling everyone there to stay away and not attack him unless they were in the reaid. The group was about 30 UC'ers and 10 pick-ups while we were there. He's not that hard if your organized.

He was downed by the Horde on Stonemaul early in the morning around 1 am in Orgrimmar.... HORDE FTW!!!!

We downed him outside Undercity in a pug. Darksorrow - EU.
We were led by THORN, of LAST HOPE. Waited for all the noobs to be killed, we waited in raid behind the zepp tower, then dived in head first and down him in about 20 seconds.
