Players deal with even more patch bugs
Bugs aplenty in 2.0.3. We mentioned a few yesterday, including the raid promotion issues and the disappearing target frame issues, but players keep finding more.Peridoc from Daggerspine has collected a bunch of them, including the ones above, delays on some characters in the loading screen, and alignment on the Battlegrounds score sheet.
Lots of people (including our good commenters) are mentioning that icons have gone all wacky everywhere-- some icons have completely disappeared and some just show the wrong thing. Some textures have messed up, too. Blizzard is collecting the issues here, along with video card specs, which means it's probably a driver problem-- upgrading the drivers on your videocard wouldn't hurt. If you've got an Nvidia, you can get those here. Just know that it is being worked on.
Finally, MBAzeroth (and some more commenters) have said there's a problem in AV (and, I believe AB): flags can be capped from many yards away. Obviously, that makes defense pretty unmanageable. Blizzard knows about the issue, and is, as always, working on it.
If you've got more bugs, you can include them below, but don't forget to drop them on Blizzard's tech support site, too-- the quicker they know about them, the quicker we'll see them fixed. Someone said the target frame thing was a problem with CTRaid, so updating addons wouldn't hurt, but most of these are real bugs (I'm guessing they have to do with little upgrades to the actual game engine for the expansion, but that's just a guess). At any rate, when you head out into Azeroth, be ready with your bugspray.

Not sure if these are bugs, or just an update to hunter animations:
My hunter no longer raises his arm when marking my target. BUT I've seen other hunters arm's raise since the patch.
The new animation we got for concussive shot...is no more. It lasted one patch and I kinda liked it.
This last one isn't a bug...but it's annoying. Gryphs make a growling or screeching sound now periodically while flying. It sounds like it's dying or sick, not a big fan of it...

How does blizzard manage to break so much crap each patch? I mean really...what did they do with this patch that would screw up something like distance to flag capping? WTF is in the KillAid over there?

Am I the only one that is not having any problems at all? Why do people ALWAYS forget to update their addons? 99% of these problems, game mechanics aside, are probably due to outdated addons.

oh sweet sweet justice. A year and a half of obvious map inequality/imbalance in AV comes to a head with this sweet sweet justice of being able to cap flags from 30 yards away. I cant get over how awesome it is. Got one word: KARMA.

and yes, I know it's a bug and it will be fixed, but man was it awesome anyway. Lovely irony. =]

Could we perhaps get a post listing the current known bugs? Or at least a short form version of it... I don't have access to the Blizz site at work and haven't set up remote desktop on my new computer at home yet.

I don't know about anybody else, but once in a while when I log in and select a character, I get a repeating noise, it sounds almost like I've closed a window in the interface or I've finished smelting a bar of ore (if you know that sound). It just repeats and repeats forever, until I quit and log back in. I don't know if anybody else has been having that one.

I personally loved bugged Razorgore most. Last night everyone was like:wtf when the adds didn't stop spawning in phase 2. The leftovers from phase 1 left the room, but you cannot imagine how much fun all the extra legionnaires, mages and dragons were...
Luckily that was the only real consistent bug in BWL (though another raid on our server experienced the same thing).

With regards to the video driver issue - I DOWNgraded my video driver and it worked fine. I had others do it and it resolved the problem as well. ~shrug~ Whatever.

I thought the event was the portal opening up and not hell freezing over? I jumped into AV last night to grind out a few tokens for a warlord weapon. To my surprise the Horde were actually winning AV with little trouble from getting bottle necked at the Aid station. It must be a bug as the Horde are not supposed to win AV. That was our entire strategy. =/

AV is still very winnable from the Alliance end, we just have to be perfect. Push south fast, leave a few people at each point, and make sure someone is at the RH guarding that flag during Drek.
Problem is that a good chunk of people were spending too much time bitching about the exploit last night vs actually killing horde and moving south.
Some of the side effects that I enjoy are that the horde teams i played against last night actually put up some defense. I cannot remember the last time i had to fight 10 horde at Galv. After the exploit is fixed, please continue to offer resistance at Galv, and IB, and TP, and FW, etc. Too many times I've gone through on offense seeing 5 horde defenders max.
Don't let the Alliance steamroll you, fight back!
Also, my AV queue time has been cut in half.
Thanks to all the horde in my battlegroup for queueing up to try to beat us!

KARMA? Someone really doesn't know what Karma means...

Vael in BWL is buggy as hell since 2.0. He's been dropping a lot more Burning Adrenaline than he ever has before and is ignoring the Salvation Blessings entirely. Its nuts.

While I enjoy rolling over the Alliance in AV, I think it's embarrassing to see my teammates crowing about "delicious irony" and "it's about time" when they sit there and use the exploit to cap.
Alliance has terrain advantage, sure. The map was designed poorly by Blizzard. But it's not cheating. It's not an exploit. It's bad design. Horde should NEVER justify this outright bug exploit as "the Alliance's comeuppance". It's not Karma. It's bad sport, and a immature mentality.
The only reason we lose AV is because of the AFKing idiots and the "woe is me, lose quickly so we can get our token/honor and leave" mentality. Alliance sucks at strategic/general PvP, and always has. If we stopped crying and did a smidge of defense and actually played the damn BG, there's no way they'd win, terrain or not. Terrain alone isn't killing us in AV, it's the Horde's "I dun wanna play no more" crying.

Well it appears that in the quick patch this morning (1-12-2007) that they resolved the 15 mile flag caps in AB.

I have a friend that unlocks locked boxes for me via mail. Yesterday one came back still locked. I sent it back again and again it came back locked. Hmmm...did I say something wrong? Then a guildie unlocked it for me before an MC raid. I checked the contents bu didn't empty it at the time. Two or three hours later it was again locked.
It is either a bug or undocumented change because unlocked lock boxes didn't used to relock even though I play a lock.
