Mystery patch (2.0.4) goes live -- and I found the patch notes
Earlier today, Blizzard quietly released patch 2.0.4. The patch, however, did not come with any patch notes, just giving the standard pointer to their previous patches page -- but the latest info on that page is from 2.0.1. When asked in the European forums what the patch was for, Aeus merely replied "To use a very old cliche: Patience is a virtue ;)".In a stroke of "why didn't I think of that sooner", I looked at their current patches page, and there it sits. The patch notes for 2.0.4 are as follows:
- Fixed a bug where flags in Arathi Basin could be captured at extremely long distances.
- Fixed a bug where players who had set dungeons to Heroic difficulty level previous to patch 2.0.3 could no longer enter instances.
- Fixed a bug that was causing multiple LUA errors in the German and French battlegrounds.

AV capping at a distance is fixed. I am 100% sure of it.
The icon switch bug still exists though.

Some of my plugins refuse to work properly with this new patch... I even had to completely disable a few of them.

Engbags doesn't update with this patch.
No word on an update. Maybe it's just me?

Yeah, it seems like Tbag is broken too, which makes sense, since AFAIK it's based on the EngBags code.

It trashed my wife's install. No players show up on the screen, just the pets and NPCs. And nice photoshopping.

We tried fighting The Prophet Skeram tonight, but multiple people kept getting kicked from game during the fight (and only during Skeram, not during any trash or anything). The DCs seemed to somehow be connected to getting sheeped while MCd by Skeram. Let's just say that having your tanks continually get kicked during the boss fight makes it a bit tough.
I talked to a GM about it who seemed pretty clueless. Another guildie talked to a different, much better informed, GM who said they were aware of the issues and the devs were already working on it.
We also had several people (myself included) have issues similar to #9. I deleted my "WoW/Cache/WDB/" directory and then reloaded the game and it seemed to fix it.

It did fix the AV bug

I don't know if it was fixed in this specific patch but my existing warlock pet (if i have one out) does not despawn until the completion of another pet summon spell. Where previously as soon as you casted "summon succubus" for example your previous pet would despawn even if the summon failed.
Simple little fix, but notable at least
