And you thought your guild was hardcore
Everyone is getting ready to experience the new quests, professions and zones of the Burning Crusade -- everyone, that is, except one guild. Six Feet Deep on Dragonmaw Horde will be /gkicking anyone who quests, works on professions, explores new zones, or does anything outside of participating in pre-formed guild five-man instances to get them to 70 as fast as possible.
As the guild leader, Chitsu, says, "You will log into the game, and look for an officer. One of the officers will assign you to a 5-man group. The 5-man group will run the appropriate instance level over and over again until someone has to leave, at which point the officer will assign a replacement. No questing, no BGs, no grinding solo ... there will be plenty of off-hours downtime to goof off if you wish, but during prime-time, I swear to Thrall I will /gkick your (expletive deleted) if you are screwing around with stupid (expletive deleted) instead of participating in the leveling grind."
I don't honestly think I can say anything, as I am humbled by the depths to which certain people take this game way, way too seriously. The forum thread is great though, as Chitsu tries to defend his plan to an entire incredulous server.
I doubt any of you are going to these lengths, but does your guild have any specific plans for how to level in the Burning Crusade?

well, a little of the carot & stick approach does go a long way if you wanna crack into the raid content early and often, but just as a contrast, here's what my guildleader did to make sure the troops get to 70 fast and efficiently:
hit 70 by 2/16/2007, get 750g.
hit 70 by 3/1/2007, get 500g.
hit 70 by 3/15/2007, get 250g.
somehow, i just don't think we're gonna lack for raiders in the 2-3 week timeframe the above GM outlined. :)

The minute belonging to a guild becomes a means to fulfill someone ELSE'S goals, it's no longer a guild. It's a penal camp. People need to get a life.

Sounds like a good friggin time, seriously.
Its a game. Treat it like a job and you are a freak.
I plan to let my guildies take as long as they possibly want to get to 70, because I plan to do the same thing. Plus, we have enough people to easily pull together groups. This GM is just a dick, and it pisses me off to see people take the game so seriously. These are the folks that end up on the news to show how evil video games are.

I've left guilds for less shit than that...I'd welcome the /gkick.
Guildless FTW

Go Dragonmaw-A! We're awesome, unlike these Horde folk. Casual lvling FTW!

Different people game in different ways. Rock on to that.
But uh, you can bet, *I* would never join one of those kinds of guilds knowingly.

my guildleader scheduled AQ20 & ZG runs for the next few weeks. then posted on the forums that we should level if we want, but still run the old instances.
Personally, I think i've said goodbye to ZG, AQ, MC and the rest for a while.

Geeze. As someone who regularly leaves groups if there's a ganker, jerk or 1337 900d in them-- as a healer, that can hurt-- I'd be out of this guild so blessed fast, I'd barely have time to say "you are a loser-- go re-roll a real life."
My current guild has only two rules: Game with Honor, and Reality Comes First. House Ancora rocks. *grin*

Typical overzealous moron. Nothing I enjoy more than kicking myself out of a group when some lifer working on their 17th alt character determined to find small penis gear while ganking everyone, barking orders, making enemies and quickly getting introduced to my blocked list.

They tried so hard and couldn't even down Twin Emps. That's just how HARD FREAKING CORE they are.

Talk about misquote and misrepresentation ... What more can you expect from a bunch of "wanna be" journalists / bloggers.

Freshly reformed with influx of formerly-retired-now-returned players, our guild plans to dedicate maximum time to what we consider the greatest fun in WoW - exploring and instancing together in a friendly team. No orders, no incentives, just pure fun.

Care to set the record straight if they did get it wrong?

@ Aerioch of who said "Talk about misquote and misrepresentation...."
You fucking idiot. That quote is taken directly from the forum post... hahaha...
For those who don't know (because it wasn't mentioned in this post....)
I laugh every single time I see or hear about this damned thread.
Chitsu is pretty much the laughing stock of the server now, even though he fails to be brought down by the bullshit everyone gives him.
A while back, he made a post on their guild forums with a list of the top 10 pve guilds on the server... he stated that his guild was #2 in progression. Not only were there about 7 other guilds above them in progression (mine included), but now everyone mocks him to no end for this.
You join a battleground only to find people from Six Feet Deep in there too...
[Battleground][Random person]: oh no guys, i don't think we'll be able to do much good in here... after all, how could we ever meet the standards of the #2 guild on the server...
Fucking. Priceless.

Lolol this is too good. I've seen all the Six Feet Deep drama first hand as a forum troll, and all I can say is that Chitsu's arrogance and stubbornness would be enough to shock even Hitler himself.
Those of you who found this little tidbit of the living, breathing drama that is Chitsu, check out this thread:http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=47298174&sid=1
Oh and just fyi, those of you who think that SFD is a hardcore raiding guild pushing the limits of progression, did you know that SFD never got the Twin Emps below 70%? Well now you do.
lol SFD, please keep the drama coming.
