Breakfast Topic: What did you do once you got your hands on the expansion?

Yesterday, we asked you what you were going to do after you installed BC. Since many of you have gotten a chance to buy and install BC by now, I'd like to see if you lived up to your predictions. What's the first think you did do when you installed BC? Personally, I did what I thought I would: rolled a male Draenei warrior named Giles. So let's have it -- new toon or Outland adventures? Feel free to come back and post here whenever you get the expansion.

put all the thorium ore and runecloth I was saving up on the AH, and slept. I figure I'll log into about 5-600 extra gold come tonight.

Got my rogue through The Dark Portal after a long wait time due to the downloading problems with the 2.00-2.05 patch.
Then I did a couple of quest by myself. Everyone seemed to be so kind. You saw random people healing you while on low health, buffing you as they ran by you and general just be happier than ever. As was I btw. Then at the quest where you have to kill some Infernals, Imps and a minor "boss" if you can call it that?.. I came into this group. We quested and did things together for the next 5hours. Where we did Hellfire Ramparts and cleared it with. It was very funny and the whole thing about learning it instead of reading the tactics on the internet was also very interesting, there after we just did a couple of quest together along with the very funny bombing run quest.
Have to say, so far I've been more than pleased with the expansion.

I created my Blood Elf paladin, his name is Neuticals (misspelled and childish but hilarious), I got my warlock alt jewel crafting and I'm waiting until tonight after work then me and my wife venture into the portal.

Lvled Jewel Crafting to 300 and When into Ramparts, fun 5 man gear isnt to bad for people who have done only MC.

I picked my NE Priest, moved to Blasted Lands, went through the Dark Portal and moved to Honor Hold. Looked around a bit, trained new skills and logged to make my new Draenei Mage, Aisha (wanted to wait for my bf to start leveling our mains together).
And it went so smooth, no lag or whatsoever, best launch ever :)

Me and the guys I started playing the game with got together to do a 5 man HFC. We only got to the first boss but we are totally going to go back tonight and rip face. It's so awesome not having to rely on 39 other people (half of which have no clue what they are doing anyway).
I also started my alliance shaman who will inevitably jewelcraft.

Shamazon Jan 16th 2007 9:32AM
Went home from work for lunch, created a Draenei Shamy called Shamazon. Looked at my shiny collectors edition, sighed and went back to work.

I made my blood elf pally and had a blast leveling up to ...wait for it... 6!
Around 4am, I decided I better get at least 3 hrs sleep before going to work.
Tonight, my best friend will have her copy of TBC, so I'll head back to the newb isle and run with her - then move on to the city and beyond.
Fabian Jan 16th 2007 9:58AM
I happily received my copy from amazon and ...
*tada* waited. I'm waiting for my girlfriend to get her copy, so we can go in together! Yeah, I am curious, but I won't spoil the fun we'll have experiencing it together!

logged on went in the portal after getting the quest. Tried to kill those felguard and infernals (everything resisted lol). Went to the inn learned how to make spice bread. Made sure my 60's were all at inns. Looked at the options to make dranei and blood elves and then went to work. ^_^

I didn't do crap since my computer broke down and i won't be able to play until friday...
cyclops213 Jan 16th 2007 11:08AM
I turned in all the quests I had been saving and got about 20% into 61 just on them. Then I created my Draenei Shaman, leveled him to 5 and went to bed. :-)
Kyle Jan 16th 2007 12:23PM
Basically, make sure I was actually holding a Collector's Edition in my hands (one of the four copies my local Best Buy had). Then quickly made a bee-line to the cash registers, and drove home.
Can't wait to install.

Rolled a dranei shaman, enjoyed the new zone (a more purple darkshore) and learned that I hate the exodar's layout so very, very much. Silverymoon was designed by an efficiency expert. Exodar was designed by the guy who Blizzard pays to make the game take more time.
Xeres Jan 16th 2007 1:21PM
...I thawed my face and toes, caressed my copy lovingly, and then passed out and promptly slept through my 10AM class. :)
Playing now, though... Until I go to work. :(

- Did all of my banked quest turnins on priest (I had 14 quests left undone that were green or better, n/i the scepter gong and Naxx quests)
- Zoned to outland - Flew to Honor Hold, then spent 2 hrs collecting flightpaths, exploring, beating up yellows. Shattrath City is very cool, but the little Draenei townships are even cooler.
- Built and guilded Horde paladin and Alliance Shaman.
- meanwhile installed BC on wife and kid's machines.
