Burning Crusade: your first impressions?

The results from our launch night poll earlier today indicated that a lot of you wise individuals opted not to traipse out into the cold and snow (or the enviable heat, as it were) in the middle of the night and are either camped out by your own door waiting for UPS or perhaps had a chance to swing by your local retailer to pick up a copy sometime today. In any case, a sizeable chunk of you may be in the process of installing or about to get home from work and settle into some play time. For those of us who weren't in the beta, it's been our first chance to see first-hand some of the new Burning Crusade content -- what are your impressions so far?
I'll share some of mine, briefly -- the install and upgrade process was pretty painless, and honestly I expected more technical issues involved in a global upgrade this massive. I was up and playing in relatively short order and for that I give Blizzard props. As for the BC content itself:
Outland: red, dry, hot, and terrifying. Hope I never meet a fel reaver in a dark
Eversong Woods, aka home to 3 million new Blood Elves: the world is lush and gorgeous. The blood elves are beautiful and aloof. The music totally reminds me of LotR and, since I'm a huge fan, that is a Good Thing. I'm really looking forward to exploring the rest of the new areas.
Worst part about Burning Crusade: I dance like Britney Spears. The horror! And I'll be doomed to ride a chicken all over again! Nooooo! Oh well, extra incentive to work for that flying mount. Or grow to appreciate the Chocobo reference. Maybe.
Your turn -- what are your first impressions of Burning Crusade?

My first impression is outland server crash after crash! Bloodhoof has been crashing all night, It will only stay up for about 30min before rebooting about 10 times in a row with a crash every 5min! Nice launch Bliz!

My first impression is just of the large mass of humanity (or is that horde-manity) in both the starting areas and Outland.
I'm also noticing the odd sensation of not instantly knowing where to go and how to do every quest. It's odd having to force myself to thoroughly read each and every quest description.

It crashes a lot?
Really. A lot. Like I'm about to turn guild notification off because of the 10 people disconnecting/reconnecting every 15 minutes.

Queues! Waiting for 45 minutes now, and this is after a 45 minute patch. No payoff for grabbing the expansion pack early just yet :p !

My first impressions are:
Blizzard has done an awesome job on this launch. Despite some server downtime, for the most part they've done an excellent job releasing a dearth of new content with (mostly) tolerable lag and crash issues.
The wind riders in Outland are fast, which is great.
Practically every time I went back to town there are a number of new quests to pick up. It's like that first visit to The Barrens.
Speaking of The Barrens, it seems Outland is the new place for "Barrens chat". At least on Dalaran.
Outland is awe-inspiring, and not getting killed by the massive gaseous and fire jets is a nice touch.
Hellfire Ramparts is nice and compact, with not too many headaches.
Terrokar Forest looks great, as does Shatrattah (w/e) City.
Blood Elves have a strange jump.
Blood Elf Paladins are almost guaranteed to have the word "pally", "blood", "horde", or "lol" in the name.
The music in Outland overall reflects the destruction and despair of the place.
The quest rewards I've gotten so far have made me extremely happy I never really had time to raid.

More blood elves that i can count, most of which will probably quit when they get to 20. Outland is pretty cool but on Silvermoon there are so many people quests take forever. This game was totaly worth having to walk 4 miles to best buy in a snowstorm for.

So many Blood Elfs (Elves?)...
I find this difficult because I'm so used to killing anything with pink skin.

To be honest, I think there are more Draenei than Blood Elves. Besides that, Outland is great and I think Blizzard did a great job. Quest after quest and they all seem fun so far. Zones are well made, can't wait to try a few HF instances.

I love my proto...I mean dranei templ...I mean shaman.

My first impression is that Hellfire Peninsula reminds me of Durotar, Barrens and Thousand Needles. All places I wish to never return to again since I played horde a long long time ago... So I am eagerly awaiting the end to my HP quests... I don't enjoy the zone at all...

I'm happy with it actually. I have yet to endure the server crash (where the hell is the wood?!), seen some long que times on Tich.. but that was expected (longer than Silvermoon is what startled me!).
Rerolled a BE, then rerolled a Draenei Hunter. For once in my life.. I felt origional for playing a hunter.. I mean seriously shamans as far as the eye can see. ;)
It'll die down, but in the end, it was totally worth it :D :D :D

I have loved Outlands so far. Exploring and discovering new quests. I'm easy coast and play on a west coast server, so things didn't start to get laggy until late out my way anyway. So I wasn't terribly disappointed when the server crashed. C'mon, we all knew it was gonna happen people.
Best Part of BC (so far)
The gryphon bombing runs. They are a blast! I did them a couple of times they were so much fun.
Worst part (So far)
I knew the first week or so would be bad for quests. So there are a few areas being camped pretty heavily. In the morning every one was pretty good about making sure they didn't tag mobs you were going for and what not, but by prime time, people were tagging everything that moved as soon as it spawned. Made it a little frustrating, especially since as a rogue I don't have a lot of options for range (they really need to lower that cooldown on sprint - and before you even start complaining QQ :P).
But overall a very positive and fun experience so far.

My first impressions:
Well let me just start off by saying I'm away on business and staying in a hotel. After I got out the office last night, me and a couple co-workers ran over to best buy and picked up our copies of Burning Crusade, and then ran around to EB and others to check out the little goodies and get us some uber-geek headsets to do this thing properly.
We all just got into WoW in december and travel extensively for our job so we were greatly looking forward to some R&R back at the hotel; a laptop, BC, a six pack of beer, and fancy new headsets so we can all be comfy in our rooms.
We got back to the hotel and noticed the hall seemed a little dim. Naturally I thought someone had just turned the lights off and walked into my room. My room was well lit, however a bit cold, so I turned the heat up and opened my little box and ogled over my new stuff. Seconds later I get a phone call from my co-worker next door; "Do you have power?"
It seemed a strange question but I answered "yes".
"Come look at my room!"
I walked next door and the whole room was dark except for a single extremely dim light in the corner.
My heart started to race in panic. The routers. I quickly ran to my laptop and flipped it open. No wireless networks found!
A frenzied call to the front desk revealed that power had "temporarily" gone out in the hotel and we were running on the generator but the electrician would restore it shortly.
Four Hours Later:
The generator finally gave out and the room is down to about 40 degrees, the hall way is about 20 degrees. We are sitting in my room in the dark, lighted only by our laptop screens waiting for a glimpse of internet hope. Finally my crappy laptop battery goes dead as I watch my computer go into hibernation, the last glimmering hope of spending my evening running around the wonders of outland we get a knock on the door.
Lighted now only by my trusty little Nintendo DS screen I make my way across the room. The hotel manager is there saying that it could be hours before power is reserved and we would be welcome to stay at the Motel 6 across town for a severly discounted rate. It is now 10pm and suddenly there is a light at the end of the tunnel! We quickly pack up our laptops and the beer, leave everything else behind.
Needless to say after this strange and eventful journey Burning Crusade seemed just that much better, that much brighter.

I started a BE Warlock just because I wanted to see Silvermoon. I really like the attitude of the BE's. Its fun to play a "real" badguy. I also ran my Troll hunter into outland with my guild mates. Within an hour and about 4 quest later I replaced my bow, axe, gloves, and chest with greens. I had blues from LBRS,UPRS. Outland is very cool. I like the worms that come out of the ground, even though they are hard to loot. I like the sky. The terrain was definitely interesting since I always seemed to be standing at an angle. I'm still level 60 (no hardcore grinding) But I like what I've seen sofar. Oh yea it was amazing that everyone seemed so civil, my server is a PVP server.
