HAHA. Awesome. That line is from Woden in Canberra. I was in the car park waiting for my little brother to pick his copy up. He was wearing a 'For the Horde' shirt and was probably the thinnest person in the line. He's actually in that second shot. I would have joined him, but i didn't bother pre-ordering, and was told yesterday morning my only chance at getting the game is perhaps Target or K-mart this morning. Thus i am up early, and about to head out and find it. My brother has already hit level 12 with a Dranei. I got some catching up to do.

It's a little-known (outside of Oz) fact that folks from Canberra don't wear shoes. Ever.
Seriously, when living in Tokyo I had a roomie from Can'bra who never ever wore shoes unless he was forced to.

And as a canberran who even spent 4 years in tokyo, i'm probably the only one who actually wears shoes. Not to mention it wasn't even hot last night.

I can't believe how many people torture themselves with midnight and the cold weather. I was asleep in a warm bed while my hot water pipes were freezing solid at midnight. At 7AM this morning I went to walmart on my way to work (they open at 7 here). I picked up a copy of the Collectors Edition for a dollar off. I will install it after work tonight.

What was cool about our line in Long Beach, CA GameStop near The Circle was that some our Horde guild met members of another Horde guild on the same server! ! We chatted in game soon after we got home - and who knows, could be working together to take down the bosses in Outland!

Our shopping centre (Parramatta, NSW in OZ) had two EB shops, so the crowds were not so huge at midnight. I will say that I don't often meet other WoW players in RL, aside from my workmates and friends who I play with. There were some really scary looking people last night! Personal hygiene and even the smallest shred of fashion sense didn't appear to be a high priority for some of them. I hope last night's launch will encourage some of them to get out more often!

...I am offended. I am not an eskimo, I am a mighty inuit.
Can anyone even tell that I'm a girl from that photo? :(

BC was released in Singapore on time according to my friend, who installed it on the 16th there (which means it was actually released earlier than in the US). On the other hand, us players in Hong Kong have to wait until the 18th.

For those in the UK, you can pick up a limited edition from PCworld, they seem to have plenty of stock 4 there when I got mine! I urge you all to buy it.
I love the packaging, and the book, its like a real damn book!
