Breakfast Topic: What's your archnemesis class?
Everyone has the one class or spec that they dislike irrationally. You call for them to be nerfed on the forums, you stalk them through battlegrounds, and you may even swear under your breath when one of them ends up in your instance group. This is your archnemesis class.
There's an old joke that the traditional enemy of the rogue is every other rogue on the server, and I have to admit that used to be true for me. I hated other rogues more than any other class. Sure, there were really nice and skilled rogues, but they seemed to be in the minority compared to the giant amount of idiots that rolled a rogue to be cheap shot artists (pun intended.) All the ninjas, drama queens, and overall irritating people I met in my first few months of playing WoW were other rogues, and a deep sense of self-loathing festered inside of me. I was halfway tempted to reroll a warlock -- and this was back in the days where NO ONE was a warlock -- when the idiot rogues disappeared! Where did they go?
A couple months later, when untalented, unintelligent, aggro-insensitive DPS warriors began infesting my guilds, I had my answer. To this day, I'm always a little suspicious of DPS warriors, particularly those who utterly refuse to consider tanking an instance and have a wishlist consisting of 90 percent of the one and two-handed weapons in the game. However, the recent warrior nerfs have sent the annoying DPS warriors back into hiding, soon to emerge again as whatever other class allows them to take a lot of loot and smash things.
What class/spec annoys you most in WoW? Does the annoyance extend only to people you fight in PVP, or do you hate those of the same faction as you?

as per #1, i agree on the people who demand paladins be holy, much like druids and priests have to be healing specced.
but, being a paladin myself, i have to destroy on site all those damn BElf Paladins !

@Immelmann
We love you too.
Any class that has players caring more about their own DPS numbers than raid progression. Those are the ones I would love to /kick.
In PvP, I dislike warlocks and their nasty little dogs too, (felhunters) but they got the nerf bat so I've stop complaining about their class since.

Im supprised no one said anything about warlocks yet! I play a warlock and im always hearing ppl bashing how overpowered locks are and how they hate dethkoil.
Jusk Jan 24th 2007 10:03AM
I hate warlocks. I almost always win in a fight, but ALWAYS die from DoTs afterward.
Drakar24 Jan 24th 2007 10:05AM
I can't believe I'm the first person to say WARLCOKS! And yeah, I spelled it right. Run around and dot from 30 yds out, I start to run in to melee and "FEAR". And all the while the dots are still ticking away at my life. A good shadowbolt while i'm feared and i'm dead. The only way to kill one is if my stunlock goes off perfectly. Can't wait for lvl 66 and COS.

We're talking about two things:
1. What class do you hate because that classes talents can destroy your character quickly in pvp, or impede your enjoyment in groups? My answer: Rogues (i'm squishy)
2. What class has a higher percentage of jackasses than other classes? My answer: Hunters. I think they attract noobs more than any other class, but that's just my experience.

As a rogue, I should hate warriors, but this is not the case. Warriors are at least meant to take out rogues, but mages are just a pain in my ass. If I crit my first shot, I'm golden but when I don't, it's just a frost nova/frost bolt/blink/polymorph/evocate away from me dieing.

To all the people who complain about the dps warrior-you're more than likely complaining about all the FOTM nubs who want to play what they percieve as the most powerful character in the game.

@1 /sign. Exact same here. I'm Holy/Retrib, and play a paladin like this because I love being able to switch roles between healer / tank at ease, and it seems the people I group with prefer me playing the pally that way also.
I hate to the point of refusing to PUG with anyone who claims 'I'm a retri-pally, i don't do heals'. Its as though they rolled the wrong class to begin with, and have just decided to try to force their pally into being a warrior - and badly at that. As for the uppity Full-Holy spec - well, I can't complain, I had been a pure healer until I 'saw the light' and specced with the patch. if anyone gets all uppity with me I just tell them how much more mana-efficient I am now :D
Oh, and alliance shamans. Although I haven't PUG'd with them yet, or dealt with them at all really.. well, I'm a pally. I'm still uncomfortable with the idea of a shaman on my side. I'm sure Horde shamans feel the same about Horde pallys. :)

As a feral druid, i got to say that matches against warlock are like hell. My friend (feral too) described well typical match with warlocks:
Go bear -> Charge -> FEARRRR -> Pray -> MORE DOTS AND FEAR (and bounce like in a fricking pinball) -> The end
Nyctanessa Jan 24th 2007 11:30AM
Any hybrid that insists that healing is the only way to go.
Ghostle Jan 25th 2007 8:11AM
Dps warriors for reason already stated. Specialyl in raid situations they think they can out dps rogues. Sure, they can, but they gotta be buffed to the teeth and go way too close to the aggro gain then my liking, close enough to cause a wipe.
The same goes for kitty cat druids. I just hate them for the same reasons, plus add to it they constantly want to steal items from rogues. Bear druids I have no problem with

Most non-warriors are talking complete bullcrap when it comes to arms/fury warriors. "Meh, just go protection!" They all say. Well, fuck that! With protection it's hard, and i mean really hard to lvl. You barely do any damage, because non of your melee skills are buffed. I play an arms warrior myself and i'm loving it. 50% crit chance for Overpower and bleeding effect when crit... Less rage for Heroic Strike, more rage for charge, more bleeding with rend, more damage when crit... Need i say more?
Andy Sinesio Jan 24th 2007 10:40AM
This one is easy.
Paladins.
Seeing as how I'm a rogue, there really is no way for me to kill a Paladin since I rely primarily on burst damage. I get one stun in and a few hits, and before I can blink they've got their bubble up and there goes my chance.
Any other class, I have a decent chance at beating. Paladins, I can't. I just can't.
Geo Jan 24th 2007 10:41AM
My main is a warrior. My nemesis are fire mages that start off with a pyro blast after I rush the mob, get an 1100+ crit and then complain that I can't get aggro off them. Sheesh.
Jack Jan 24th 2007 12:36PM
Rogues by FAR.
They stealth across entire maps to avoid all conflict and attack ONLY if all of their cooldowns are up and at the ready.
If you manage to get them down to just half-health, Vanish away they go only to follow you around in stealth until....you guessed it....their cooldowns are up.
Scumbags.
Duggie Jan 24th 2007 10:55AM
Shamans who think they can tank better than warriors. Sure you may be bale to hold aggro but as the priest i'll run out of mana real quick.
Also, the snobs who won't party with a shadow priest who is prepared to heal, (and has bloody good healing gear, mine is +500 healing)because "we want a holy specced priest"
Andy Sinesio Jan 24th 2007 3:32PM
/need FTW
Raigore - Stonemaul Jan 24th 2007 10:51AM
Feral Druid here, not much to complain about in terms of counter classes it's practically everyone, there's always the classic "bear up and outlast their hp or mana" strategy failsafe. When that doesn't work, meh, I've got a 90% chance they wont bother again because it took soo long. (An interesting form of protection, kinda like the fly that has bee stripes so trick predators, only I'm a druid that would be likened to a paladin with his mighty bubble)
I personally hate other druids, particularly those which moonfire spam like there's no tomorrow. For some of them, there really is no tomorrow, as they quickly claim their throne at the top of the KOS lists of anyone burned to death with KREEEEE KREEEE KREEE KREEEE KREEEE KREEEE KREEEE KREEEE KREEEE KREEEE KREEEE KREEEE KREEEE KREEEE KREEEE KREEEE!
Ragbar Jan 24th 2007 10:56AM
I'm a mage, and the first things that come to my mind are...
1) Hunters. Before they got the huge buff, I could tolerate them. Any Hunter who was as skilled as I was would beat me most of the time. I don't have a problem with that. What I DO have a problem is that even if I get a jump on the hunter now, I still go down, I don't even have a chance. Hopefully the recent changes fix this.
2) Warlocks. DoT and forget. Fearspam. Felhunters. Skillcoil. God, need I go on?
