Unless you know of an error in the talent tree tooltip, I believe Shadow and Flame does in fact boost Incinerate just as much as Shadow Bolt. And of course Improved Immolate isn't going to affect Incinerate, but then, it doesn't affect Shadow Bolt either. And Incinerate gets an additional 10% damange from 5 talent points in Emberstorm, which Shadow Bolt doesn't, which in my mind cancels out the loss of Improved Shadow Bolt proc effects.Basically what Incinerate is is a fire alternative to shadow bolt for destruction 'locks. It's cool, but it hardly threatens the game balance, it's not like it does masses more damage than Shadow Bolt. My normal (PvE) attack opens with Immolate, then Incinerate, Fear, then Incinerate a couple more times, then Conflagrate. That combo usually takes down any non-elite mob in about 20 seconds without me taking a scratch. 'Course, it also takes my mana pool down by a third at least.I like Incinerate as a legitimate alternative to Shadow Bolt. It's not for all situations, and it's hardly disruptive to game balance, but it does give warlocks who've been complaining about spamming Shadow Bolts a viable second option.
