Dazed ***** and con******fused in Outland
Have you noticed how sticky the mobs are in Outland? Just traveling from place to place is like running a gauntlet, even on the roads. And don't even bother leaving the roads unless you're ready for a fight-- right below Hellfire Citadel, those Orcs swarm like bees. Get hit once, get dazed, and before you know it, you'll have attracted three or four of them on you. Likewise, in Zangarmarsh, the problem is even worse-- pull a Sentry, and he'll pull a Naga, who'll pull a slave, so on and so forth. Just last night, I fought off eight mobs in a row, just because they kept pulling and pulling each other.Andrael on Shadowsong has noticed, too, that there's a whole lot of dazin' goin' on in Outland, but Drysc says everything is working as intended (and even throws in an "l2p, noob" tone for good measure). It's not necessarily a bad problem-- I play the game to fight stuff, and the more XP, the merrier. But it's not even a problem of levels, as Drysc suggests-- at 62, I was constantly pulling aggro from two or three 60-61s at a time. Nothing I couldn't handle, it's just ***** annoy****ing *****.
And if Blizzard's idea of making mobs harder is to add to the chances of getting Dazed by every one (usually, you get dazed only when getting hit from behind, but when mobs aggro like they do in Outland, it happens a lot), they need to come up with something new, because all the stars floating around my head are getting a little old. There's no strategy in being slowed down when you get jumped, it's just something you have to deal with. But then again, there's one surefire way around it: as a couple players in the thread note, you can't get Dazed on a flying mount.

I play with my brother alot, a Tauren warrior, and he definately is getting dazed a lot more. However... I'm an undead rogue and I hardly ever get dazed of my mount - is there some modifier on that? My higher agility lets me escape more perhaps?

I also noticed the anti-training code doesn't seem to be working all the time. Sometimes it works just as you suspect, and sometimes those mobs returning from a fleeing player all pile on you without returning to their home. It certainly keeps things interesting.

What's with all the asterisks in this post?

I don't have problems with this, but I am a ret pally on a epic mount. 128% speed keeps these things at bay.

And - forgive me if this is a noob question - I notice that the Blood Hollow warrior can charge while in combat - which sucks for my hunter - my warrior is only lvl 37 so i don't know if you get this ability later... But it sucks - I keep getting molseted by adds - but in a strange twist the Allies will sometimes help out a poor Horde who's in over his head...

It's everything to do with your level differences.
Even at level 60 before burning crusade, travelling through Silithus was always like that - and they were 59's
This really isn't something new.
If you play any new character level 10, you'll notice you pull aggro everywhere as well from mobs that are 8 or 9.

I have been bugged by this too! I thought it was just my lower level (58/59) that was causing me to get dazed. I guess not. That is a pretty lame way of making things harder, because I can't count the number of times I've had to bubble, and get down and dirty or else Fear them and hope I can run away from their leash before hitting another aggro zone.
As for Silithus, the only things that I really hated are the spiders that can net you 4 times before you get off their leash. That's why I came to Outlands ASAP.

I'm not complaining because I haven't died yet, but getting knocked off my epic mount (with carrot) 4 times between Firewing to Stonebreaker is a little extreme.

I too feel that the amount of Dazing going on is very high. I've been playing this game since release and I've never experienced constant dazing like I do in the outlands. It seems like a 50/50 chance you'll get dazed on it.
It's not a fun mechanic and it should be lessened or removed. It's the one thing in the game I hate most.

The mobs in outland are bad ass. you cant just run mount first throu everything like in good ol azeroth anymore. Its just more of a reason to get a flying mount.

I thought this too. I bought my bright and shinny epic mount, and thought I would be able to explore freely, but I get knocked off so often.

roll a priest. bubble. don't get dazed. done.

the worst are the air elementals in Nagrand, when you agro them and you think you've made it passed without being dazed they pull you off your mount and back to them, thats very very annoying. mind you quite funny yo watch ;)
