Get out the scooper, time to take the felhound for a walk
Udderpants of Twisting Nether makes a really great point on the forums: We've braved an entire civilization of trolls (and the avatar they worship), we've brought dragon heads back to our cities, and we've slaughtered the opposing faction until our leaders deemed us worthy enough to be given the best gear-- and yet we're consigned to picking up felhound poop in Outland. Can't say I was prepared for that.Which isn't to say that I don't like the quest. One of the things I was hoping for in Outland was a little more quest variety, and while the actual clicking is still there (that gear does an amazing number of things), at least there's a little more story-- I also like the quest (also Horde) in which you find out that a Blood Elf at Falcon Watch is being cheated on by her lover.
But still-- poop? I've got over 400 spell damage, fer chrissakes! Neth says, in her almost infinite wisdom (she did have a little bit of trouble explaining away the honor nerf way back when) says it's to teach us humility, which all great heroes should have in-- excuse me on this one-- spades. I guess before you get to clean out all the crap in Karahzan and the Black Temple, everyone's gotta pick up a little poop.

I made this comment the other day to my guild. I missed the Felhound one, but I did the one in Nagrand with talbuk crap.
I have slain the Blood God Hakkar and his high priests. I have conquered the dread lady Onyxia. The lords of the Molten Core have fallen before my wrath. Thousands of Horde have been crushed under my boot. And yet I'm picking up goat dung in a field.
A quest befitting a hero, to be sure.

I laughed when i found that job, then i laughed even harder when several of my guildies didn't understand what i was squaking about on guild chat..
then i got another laugh when they got the quest and i happily followed several other guildies doing it, all the while taunting them with jokes on the clean up duties.

I did not enjoy the "stanky" debuff!

I'm sorry, but that's not a good point at all. What an idiotic complaint. Tell Udderpants to just go organize another 40-man raid if he thinks that the outland quests are a waste of his time.
Disclaimer: I have a 60 on Twisting Nether, and I have completely given up on that server as full of hundreds of the whiniest and most petty drama llamas in the history of online gaming.

I was one of the first in my guild to do this quest, and thought it was pretty damn funny. I could always tell when someone else in the guild was doing it cuz they would yell in guild chat "Stanky!"

I never completed it, I just took my felhound around Hellfire Peninsula for company during my other quests. It was funny watching people go, "how did you get a felhound pet??" The only drawback is if it ever despawned I had to go back to the goblin to respawn him. I'm 67 and havent completed it yet in case I ever feel like having him around again :)

Maybe this is a reference to that scene on "Gone In 60 Seconds" where a dog eats the keys for a Mercedes and the "bad guys" need to take it for a walk? I thought of that the moment I realized what I would have to do, and laughed a lot... :)
