WoW Moviewatch: Nerf Druids
I know, I know -- we had such a positive discussion yesterday about cries of "nerf this!" and "nerf that!" But this compelling video evidence is awfully hard to argue with.
[Thanks, Tylluan, for pointing out that Joystiq tagged this video first]

Funny video, but no don't nerf the druids! We just recently became about equal with the other classes. People are just used to us being weaker than them. I remember the uphill battle that going from 1 to 40 was, all my hunter and warlock friends just flew by me as far as character levels. Just because druids have the option of going feral and becoming a cat form DPS character or going dire bear and tanking. Those are 2 options available only to feral druids, and they can't be done at the same time. Now all druids can heal, but only druids specked as healers with full healing gear come close to being as good a healer as other healing classes. I say all of this as a balance druid but I have been a healing druid and a feral druid in the past. A podcast I heard one time put it well, "A druid is a man of many talents but a master of none". Agree with me and I will always heal you first (well I'll heal you as best as a balance druid can).

Haha, oh Jesus.

the probelm that people are having with druids is that they can become a warrior with healin abilities, since now there bear form is on par with warriors... i know they cant use healing in that form but they just have to switch out of it heal and back in.

@6 - not that I want to be the next target - but umm...isn't that a Prot-specced Paladin? How come you don't have a problem with them being warriors with healing abilities?

Nerf Shamans too!

@6
In PvP, there's plenty of ways to stop druids from casting their heals(which are the slowest heals in the game). You just have to be smart enough to use them. If the druid is 'on par' with the warrior, it's a given that they are a Feral. Ferals do NOT have a large mana pool, and both shifting and healing are expensive. If you manage to stop their heal and force them back into form, they are in trouble. There will always be better druids, worse druids.
Druid is a class that requires skill to play. As such, Druid is a class that requires skill to beat. The fact is, button mashing is only going to get you killed with a druid on you.
Regarding PvE.
Again, if a druid is 'warrior' built, they are likely going to be tanking. Anyone who thinks that a druid can simply shift out and heal themselves while tanking is just being an ignorant nerf troll. They can have full mana in bear, but if they shift out to heal themselves when tanking, they'll be dead before they can even complete half the cast. If they are cat, druids are awesome if they know their class. When I go out of mana, a good druid backs off from the melee, innervates me, and covers my healing until they only have enough mana to shift back into cat and continue DPSing. That usually amounts to maybe 3 or 4 of their large heals, which now days only seems to be 2500 or so? Not a lot considering the 7-10k hp I see tanks with now.
So in summary, NO. They can't just 'switch out, heal, and switch back in'

Please stop fanning the flames of trying to get druids nerfed. Sure the video was clever, but obviously lacking in any real facts.
Druids really just got up to being on par with all the other classes, and they are far from overpowered. At least now they can compete. Just because they can do DPS now doesn't mean they should be nerfed. They were woefully underpowered for ages and feral used to be just a joke.
If you want to nerf ANYONE, start with shamans, warlocks and shadow priests. Those are some classes who truly need nerfing and have for a good long time.
I kinda expected better from you guys at WoWinsider...

Wow, Jay, L2humour apparently.

ROFL, I *am* a Druid; clearly the video is just satire of all the cries of "Nerf Druids!". Therefore, the video supports the notion that Druids remain un-nerfed.
Peace is established.

The thing is though, Barkskin helps tremendously. That coupled with my Defiler's Talisman and Omen of Clarity, make healing myself while tanking at the same time easy. Then there's also the fact that if one spec's feral, you can get nurturing instinct, and leader and improved leader of the pack. If you know how to play your class, people will think you are overpowered. Don't nerf us cause we know how to play our class. There are some druids that i've faught that we're idiots.

you all misunderstood the video you see the poor druid was just ganked by a warlock.
