2.0.7 and beyond for Warriors

The resilience changes in the 2.0.7 patch notes may have some consequences for Warriors. To sum up, 2.0.7 is making it so that crits that are converted into regular hits by resilience will still trigger abilities that would be triggered by crits. This includes, notably, Enrage, which I'm already coming to rely on for my Warrior alt. The change makes it so that you don't have to worry about resilience nerfing your Enrage (and other such skills), basically. Quoth Tseric:
- In case you hadn't, there is a general change in 2.0.7 which has more relevance to Warriors than other classes.
- Any effect which benefits the victim of a critical strike will now trigger even if resilience converted the attack from a critical strike to a normal strike; this applies to melee, ranged, and spell. The affected talents, abilities, and items are: "Eye for an Eye", "Blessed Resilience", "Enrage", "Martyrdom", "Blood Craze", "Eye of the Storm", and "Bonespike Shoulder".
This applies to those Warriors who may stack resilience, but fear that it reduces effectiveness of certain abilities gained through being crit. Resilience won't interfere with you popping enrage!
Of other note, the devs have been looking at threat generation closely and we continue to get harder numbers and data regularly. It is possible changes to threat generation are down the road. When I hear more, so will you.
- Threat generation is being watched as it compares between warriors and druids. I've said this has been of priority and interest to the devs before and it still is. Group and Raid environments play out differently and this can affect the look of things as far as competition goes. When changes to warriors come down the pipe, there's a good chance the devs will be tweaking threat generation before anything else.
Thoughts, on resilience changes and Warrior threat?

It's fine. They need it. Just yesterday I tanked all The Slave Pens(as a druid), not even competeing for aggro with our warrior, he just said to hell with it and started to DPS. My multi-mob tanking skills are at its best right now. Enemies are practically giving me rage that I don't need, its just a huge rage dump for swipe, and my clearcasting gives me even MORE rage. Our warrior was amazed at how long/full my bar was filled, using all my specials even. This is not balanced, it needs to be fixed. In cat form, heck BEAR FORM even, I have more AP and DPS than my rogue buddy. I am in outlands gear(mostly greens and 3 blues)and he is in Grand Marshal/MC gear. I can't really vouch for the Moonkins out there, since thats just not my style but I do believe that I am for the first time (damage at least) overpowered. No I'm not complaining, but it doesn't seem fair to warriors/rogues and maybe even mages/warlocks.

I've found tanking 5 mans pretty tricky really - it requires far too much micromanagement of targets and when there's up to 6 of them running around, I'm not sure it's even possible to hold all of them off your healer and keep the one that's being DPSed on you as well. I usually just hope that it's a rogue who pulls aggro first :-)
We don't have a decent attack for hitting multiple mobs at once. WW isn't doable from defstance, requires a slow weapon and locks up your GCD for 4.5 seconds + lag with stance swapping. Cleave has too high a rage cost for the return for tanking.
I'm not really sure how to fix it - bringing back old demshout threat behaviour might help a bit.

Warriors excel at Single Target tanking. For things like the Bogstruck pulls in Slave Pens you are better off bringing a pally or a druid.
Sorry to beat a dead horse, but 2000AP Bear Tanks can just use swipe to tank 3 mobs without issue. (threat multiplier + 2000AP = who needs a warrior) That has to be broken. At level 68 with 41points in Fury and in Improved Berserker Stance I have 1300AP unbuffed.

Man, even the CMs forget that pallys can tank too. Why all the druid bashing? Pallys can mult-mob tank better than both classes, yet no cry for a nerf?!?
Swipe has 0 threat modifier (they took it out before BC), it's all based on damage. Warriors get new, better dps weapons every day. Since Druid DPS works differently, we have to compensate by having higher AP.
As a druid, I find it's easier to cycle through my targets, rather than spam swipe. Again, to beat a dead horse, LRN2PLY, I've seen good warriors multi-mob tank better than me. It comes down to skill. Having trouble on multiple mobs? Cycle through each target hack and slash, and move on to the next target. A tank's job is to soak up all the damage, and keep the targets pissed at them. Use the tools you are given, there is no easymode...

Awesome for my arms warrior.
Another nail to the coffin for "pure" fury PvP. Flurry is not in the category of "victim beneficial" I guess, so this mechanic won't affect it, that joined with the fact, that fury warrior have harder time stacking crit (of 2 +crit talents warrior have the other one is rather high in arms), and once heavy resilience geared arena teams start showing up, fury will be dead. Not like it was ever any good...

This resilience change is also great for priests. If they spec for it they can have 3 talents that all proc when they receive a critical strike against them.

What, no fixing hunter/lock pets? :(
Also, where is the Cloak of Shadows retune? Before I get flamed, let me make it clear that I don't think it should be nerfed. It is good for rogues to be able to take off dots - however, fix the immunity.

"Again, to beat a dead horse, LRN2PLY, I've seen good warriors multi-mob tank better than me. It comes down to skill."
No, it doesn't.
Quite honestly, I'm one of the best warriors I've ever known. I should be, I've leveled four of them to 60 and am now working on my second 70 war. My first is a human with a 75dps hammer, plenty of Tier2/3 or equivalent upgrades from the expansion, and lots of really nice trinkets, rings and a Sethekk Hall neckpiece.
And I cannot tank multiple mobs as well as a level 68 druid who has just specced feral and has never tanked. I use all the tricks: tab targeting, revenge, sunder, devastate, demo shout, quick stance switches for a thunderclap or whirlwind if possible, cleaves, you name it. It simply isn't enough. A 75 dps 2.0 speed one hand hammer, full defiance, spamming heroic strikes like mad while pounding the tab key like a frantic monkey on crack... still not enough.
It is not right that 44 points in protection and I still have to near kill myself to hold three mobs while a lesser geared, lesser skilled player can do it with ease.

Agreed @8...
Multiple tanking for warriors is neigh on impossible (ie: v.hard)...Whirlwind/Cleave are both not worth doing or are gonna lead to severe dmg taken (in WW's case)...Warriors are basically nerfed, so they can either DPS or Tank (effectively) they cannot do both without spending G for it..That sucks..look @ Druids as the prime example..Druids can spec feral, and dps great, as well as tank (with points spent wisely) to an equal level..
Warriors have to stick like 21 points in a tree to get any effective dps out of it, and then they can't tank properly..
WHY BLIZZARD WHY!!!!!??
Im not asking for a nerf on other classes, just help us warriors out!!
On a side note:-
I especially love it when mages pull with pyroblast, really helpful they are!!!
