Get rich quick in Outland
And I do mean quick, because these prices likely won't stay this way for long. MBAzeroth points to a forum guide written up by Fanfan on the Mal'Ganis realm forums (that link, strangely enough, doesn't work-- did Blizzard take it down or move the thread somewhere else?) which he says netted him a shiny 1,000g in just two hours. All of it relies on the Primal motes of Air, Fire, Water, Mana, and Earth-- those mots can be combines to make the Primal elements used in all kinds of professions, from Leatherworking to Tailoring and Enchanting. Since everyone is currently working on making their way to 375, sales of this stuff are huge on the AH, and with droprates the way they are, you can net a pretty penny with just a few hours of grinding in these places. Of course that means the more people that find out about this (and the more people that finish their profession leveling), the less it will be worth. But if you get moving on this in time for the weekend AH rush, you could likely make a good headstart on your epic flying mount.
The entire guide after the jump.

Primal Farmer Apr 14th 2008 6:38AM
I have been farming Primal Airs and Fire for the Last week non-stop around 9am to 3am every day of the week,
Day1: ( Morning 9am till 3pm)Farm Motes of Fire at Shadowmoon vally, there are 5 Elementals at a place but you have to go up a hill. For some reason the drop rate is a little better.
(3PM till 9pm) Farm motes of Air in Shadowmoon vally, This place is good when other places are populated with players. but this place can also be dangerous as you need to farm on the outer side of the circle makeing sure not to aggro nothing in the middle as they not only hit hard but they can be in GRPs up to 3.
(9Pm till 3am) this is when i really focus farming at the night as when i have farmed late at night i find that no people are at Elemental Plateau.( but if there is i find ninjaing there kills can make them healthstone out:P) No the kindest of ways but it does work ( you might get called a noob, but sticks and stones:P)
In a day i can farm up to> 40 Primal Fire and 30 Primal Air <
On Primal Fire goes for 30g and Primal Air goes for 37g.
So my Daily Sum of gold is: 2310gold Per day
So in 7 days i made my self a neat: 16170 Gold.
But i shall never Farm 7 days in a row again. as after a week i was nackered and slept for 24 hours lol.
I have not paid for my epic flying mount yet. I am currently buying 500Golds worth of Adamantite Ore Every day. then i prospect it and Cut the gems into RARE Gems and sell them
Liveing Ruby: Cut into good selling gem and i get 70g from it.( example)
So basicly i earn a profit of 300g per day jus by, buying and selling, and i shall continue this untill i have around 30k of Gold then i shall buy all my Alts epicing flying mount and then start my netherwing quests.
i hope this helps:P
My Record Farming Of Primal Fire is ever! 10 Primal Fires in 55Minutes:D
this not fake, this is true and this is how i got my Gold so fast. But if you dont like hard work then dont FARM! Farming isnt just a easy ride for Gold it requires Skill
( memorizeing Respawn points)
(Timeing Respawn points)
(Good gear ( i have All epics on my Shadow Priest)
( And good understanding of our chars abliltys)
As i nearly pull around 6-7 elementals at a time you need to be sure WHAT YOU CAN HANDAL!.
With the trash that drops, that pays for my Amour Repair.
SO what you waiting for!
Get x4 20 Slot bags and FARM!
Hope this helps all

As far as I can tell this sounds like complete and utter bs. I wish it wasn't because it'd be great to make that much gold, but look at this math.
Wind Elementals = Drop 1-2 motes of air, 10x combines to 1 Primal Air = ~20g per
Fire Elementals = Drop 1-2 motes of fire, 10x combines to 1 Primal Fire = ~25g per
Water Elementals = Drop 1-2 motes of water, 10x combines to 1 Primal Water = ~20g per
2 hours of farming yielded 978g
978g 2 hours..... if we say half of that was from fire primals and half wind primals, let's so the "primal price" for this round was the average of 20 and 25, or 22.5g. Great, so 978/22.5 = 44 primals. Great so according to this guide, 44 primals were farmed and sold as fire primals and wind primals for roughly 978g.
44 primals...hhmmm... let's see now. IF every single elemental dropped 1-2 (1.5 average) motes (which they DO NOT because they only occasionally drop motes) how many elementals would have to be killed to get 44 primals?? 44 primals is 440 motes. 440/1.5 = 293 elementals needed to be killed in TWO hours and all of them would have to drop 1-2 motes??????????? wtf? crock of horseshit!!
120 Minutes in 2 hours. So the rate of this pathetic crock of shit, bogus explanation (that's completely false and the author of this forum should be condemned for fraudulence) that would be 293 elements per 120 minutes!
Which is killing an elemental 24 seconds and having them "all" drop 1-2 motes. FRAUD. LIAR. FALSE.
besides this is a sheer crap waste of time method of going about earning gold.

Thank you very much for your article. I can recommend you rapidshare search engine ( http://rapidqueen.com ), which personally I use for quite a long time.

I call BS on this.
First of all, most of those areas are pretty populated. Its hard to grind for 1 straight hour non stop.
Second, farming earth elementals suck. According to my drop rate calculator (mobinfo2) the drop rate for Earths is around 20-30%. The rest are around 50% for the highest level mobs.
Third, the math doesnt add up. Take the first example with primal fires: 25g per, .5 motes per mob. To get 1000g in 2 hours you would have to get 40 Primal Fire, which is 800 Fire elementals in 2 hours. Thats 800 Fire elementals in 7200 seconds, or 1 Fire elemental every 9 seconds.
These Fire elementals have about 9000 health and have a fire shield. The Air Elementals have a nature shield and chain lightning. Waters are easier, but they have a water bolt and you have to swim through the water / remount to find others. So there is a fair amount of downtime as well.
I can get about 6 Primal Airs in an hour, Hunter in all 68+ blues. Thats going balls out and is hardly fun at all. Duoing with a rogue friend, we got 12 Primal Airs in 1.5 hours. However, thats not by yourself.
Heres a more accurate description:
Farm Primal Airs for 2 hours: get 12 Primal Air, sell to the AH for 240g. Not bad money, but not 1000g.
Oh and for your efforts you also get elemental shards and BoE greens. Add 20g.
Total: 260g for 2 hours work
Heike Feb 8th 2007 12:26PM
On my server, primals go for only about 6g right now.
ridestowe Feb 8th 2007 12:33PM
dont forget, the phase hunters in netherstorm that drop mote of mana are also skinnable!!
goody24 Feb 8th 2007 12:23PM
Now that i have read this, can you please take it down. lol
Melador Feb 8th 2007 12:36PM
Yeah, what #3 said, there's no way that this is that lucrative. It's nice farming, don't get me wrong, but there's no way that it's 500g/hr.
Assuming all primals are 20g, to make 500g/hr, you'd need to get 25 primals an hour, or 250 motes an hour. Assuming that the droprate is 50% (which is quite generous in my experience), that's 500 mobs an hour, or a bit over 8 mobs a minute, or a mob every 7.2 seconds. With each of the mobs having 7000 or so hitpoints, that's roughly 1000dps, sustained. Even with a mob perfectly repopping in front of you every time you kill the previous one and infinite mana/health, that's just not realistic.
steve Feb 8th 2007 12:49PM
I get roughly 1 primal every 15 minutes. I see no reason to spend 20g for a quick 15 minutes of work, which often nets me around 5g in crap to sell on top of the primal.
Those things will eventually level out to being around 3-4g a piece I'm assuming.
priest Feb 8th 2007 1:06PM
It's hardly rocket science though is it? I mean, everyone farmed elementals from 40-60 for essences, now you can farm 60-70 for primals. See the connection? Elementals = good drops.
Rich Feb 8th 2007 1:48PM
hmm yea it would be great if you could just SHUT YOUR DAMN MOUTH!!!!!!!!!!!!
Halicante Feb 8th 2007 2:14PM
I'm not telling my top secret farming spot. It's mine! All mine!
I can AOE farm about 100 sunfury signets and 5 arcane tomes or so, plus a boatload of greens per hour as long as some jerk doesnt backstab my priest in the middle of a 15 mob pull. On my server, the signets are about 20g for 10 and the tomes are 25g/piece. I'm arcane so I have to bring along my much
Halicante Feb 8th 2007 2:15PM
hmmm message got split. Whatever. The point was is that my priest and i are making bank.
I want that epic mount bad!
Mekias Feb 8th 2007 3:14PM
Couldn't get to the Elemental Plateau. I guess you need a flying mount to get up there.
It's a little annoying as an elemental shaman to farm earth and air elementals, they're immune to nature spells. The water elementals weren't difficult though.
Ralph Feb 8th 2007 5:28PM
The calculation in the post is inaccurate.
Blackthorn Feb 9th 2007 3:30AM
#12's top secret farming spot is Illidan's Black Temple in Shadowmoon, turn right as soon as you enter and theres a ramp with several dozen 67-69 blood elf's all lined up in nice neat rows. No caster mobs, very few pats, and on a 3 min respawn. Pretty much built for aoe, best farming spot ive seen in the game so far.
