Unfortunately, many hybrids don't consider healing themselves in an instance. They get used to someone else healing them and unless the healer is yelling "Out of Mana!", they won't think to heal. They'll also be using all their own mana for DPS purposes (except cat druids) and won't have any left if something bad happens.Being DPS and backup healer can be rather difficult. It takes practice.
