My guild leader is a blockhead

... and he can't /gkick me for saying so.
Thursday evening, my guild leader, a restoration shaman, got his Tidefury Helm off the Warp Splinter in Botanica. This was a happy occasion for all, except the helm graphics were majorly bugged. Instead of whatever the helm is supposed to look like, it ended up looking like a giant square checkered box, situated directly on top of a female troll's head.
My guild leader spent part of the rest of the evening standing around in Shattrath, having people come up to him, inspect him, and ask him how he did it. He said that he planned on turning off the helm graphics once he got tired of staring at a giant box where his face should be. It's too bad, because some of the Dungeon 3 sets look pretty cool and I'd like to see what the shaman one looks like. Perhaps it's all themed as checkered blue boxes, the better to disguise yourself in a warehouse for demented clown costumes.
Have you found any other graphically bugged items in the Burning Crusade? Would you turn off the graphics if you were my guild leader, or would you just let it be?

I wish I could say I'm surprised. Both Shadowmoon and Netherstorm are wrought with bugs of being unpolished, and the amount of items under 'bugs' in 2.0.7 patch notes is woefully lacking.

Few days ago everytime I saw a glow effect, such as weapon enchants, some spell casting, wands shooting, evening summoning my dreadsteed, had a red and white checked pattern. Whatever it was, it was fixed when I signed in the next day.
There was also one time, right after 2.0 was released, where my Dreadsteed model would not render, so I was riding around Orgrimmar floating in the air. I told people it was the warlock flying mount that you get for free by talking to Lord Kazzak. What was sad was it was 1. pre-expansion, 2. I was lvl 60 and 3. people believe me.
Don't know how many dumb warlocks went running our to blasted lands, fighting their way all the way to Lord Kazzak only to get pwned.
Aside from graphical errors I have had some audio errors. The other night my Dreadsteed was making Felhunter sounds. And I heard the Felreaver in Terrorkar near the fel orcs encampment in the southeast (so I was far away from Hellfire when I heard this).

Yeah, I've seen a spot that looks like it should be the focal point for a lens flare or a glow effect, but instead it's a little box like that.

The only recurring graphical glitch I've experienced is with my Azerothian Longbow of the Wolf, which doesn't have a firing animation. I pull back an arrow, I deal damage to my target, but there's no actual animating of that fact.
"Why aren't you shooting," my party asks sometimes. "I AM shooting!" "I was going to give you some arrows." "I'm shooting my own arrows, for Elune's sake! ;.;"

I have had this block item before. It was during the Hunter quest on an Alt i created. The 3rd taming stick i got was bugged like that. So it was in my hand and It was classified as weapon. So when i went to tame the boar in the last part it would hit him thus making the quest impossible. I put in ticket logged out. Came back few hours later and GM said its fixed and finished up quest. It was funny walking up to people and saying "what do you see in my hand" and they were very puzzled..." a giant rubic's cube?"

The tidefury helm dropped for us last night, with no graphical glitch. I thought it was very similiar to the deathdealer helm from AQ40.

One funny glitch I've seen, I finally created a draenei character on my boyfriend's server and at Blood watch there's a gaurd next to the mailbox that runs back and forth rapidly like a deranged crack head, I thought it was a one time thing but I logged in again today and there he was again spinning around like a chicken with its head cut off. hee hee, it makes me laugh ;).

Actually, a GM can change the model of any object. i run my own private server and you can do a .setmodel 2 to make anything look like this little checkered block! Possibly a glitch, but that model was actually put in the game!

Back during the event that gave our the turtle, pig, and rat pets I could not see any of the three pets. Instead they were all little blue checkered boxes... I just thought people were naming their boxes different things!

Oddly enough, just after reading this I encountered my first glitch in Burning Crusade. The Blacksmithing Supplier in Silvermoon City is messed up. When I go to interact with him, he gives me options as if he's a guard in Stormwind, even listing the Stormwind bank. Um, no - I just want to repair my items. ;(
