And the award for world's worst WoW player goes to...
Now I don't mean to make fun-- maybe this poor guy just hasn't had a lot of experience operating a keyboard or playing videogames. Maybe he just hasn't quite yet or just isn't able to pick up the skills to play this game. But when Lynyrd, a 64 Orc Hunter on Drak'thul, puts up a PvP whine post on the forums about how he was killed and camped by a 34 warlock, you just have to wonder what's happening there. A few replies in, there's a mention of more players joining in to the fight (apparently Lynyrd was helping a few lowbie friends when they decided to gang up on some Alliance), but when all the dust has cleared, it really looks like a 64 hunter somehow got taken down by a 38 lock and a 37 priest.
Lynyrd makes another appearance later in the thread (after a few more illegible posts by the interested parties, I'm ready to call shenanigans on all of this, but it's still funny), and posts his spec, which is very... umm.... "broad," I guess. Most hunters tend to specialize in one tree, but Lynyrd has chosen to go for the least of all worlds-- he's got the very uncommon 15/20/20 hunter spec.
Again, I can't really believe this is what it seems like-- as players point out, any 64 hunter who knows where the autoshot button is should be able to drop a 38 lock without thinking twice. But a read through the thread itself is definitely chuckleworthy.

I wouldn't be surprised if the priest /lock killed the 64 hunter. Even without all the knowledge of his talents and the obvious fact he doesn't know how to play the character.
The 64 cant take on 2 people. The priest (as long the priest is good at his/her class) will be able to heal both the lock and himself.
So in a way i'm saying give the guy a break.. but on the other hand...
the hunter should know his class and kill the priest then the lock.
But from the sounds of it he probably attacked the locks pet and not an actual player.

I bet my Enchanted Golden Bloodrobe he bought his character on eBay before BC came out and has no idea what he is doing. He should have been able to out-dps the priests heals on both the lock and the priest. Not to mention most of the locks spells would have been resisted simply because of the lvl difference. This means the fight must have gone on for an extended period of time.
Simply put, if this story is true, I am betting the hunter didn't have a pet and probably tried to meelee the lock or his pet. The lock probably fear kited him around a little, but because of the lvl difference, diminishing returns should have made him fear immune well before he was killed.
Then again, he might be 5 years old.

Zuu, I think it's a combination of all three, with a little fabrication thrown in for good measure. But it's still funny :)

One multishot should have halved the field =p.

Ah, this guy is on my server, I'll be sure to /friend him and try to arrange a duel to boost my ego.
..on my level 17 paladin of course.

Is this a joke? He obviously bought a 60 on ebay pre-TBC and has no idea how to play. 90% of spells casted by the lock should have been resisted and at 60, my main could prolly 2 or 3 shot each guy. Dumbest player ever.

This is so strange. I was on Drak'thul and sure enough people were spamming over the trade channel making fun of Lynyrd. I normally ignore the gibberish that scrolls up in the lower left of my screen. This, however, caught my eye. They were poking fun of his name at the time. His defense was, "Freebird is the most requested song of all time at concerts!"
I thought that was a rather shotty attempt at a rebuttal but given his obvious retardation...he definitely claims the worst WoW player award.

This is the second "retarded" comment I've read today. I work with the mentally challenged. Read my comment in the Pride of the Horde post. Your slack-jaw yokeled ass probably got pwned by a guy with autism last night.
Marcus Feb 21st 2007 2:41PM
@1 My 64 Hunter took out a 42 Paladin and 37 Druid who were stupid enough to attack me. Lynyrd is a total noob. If he knew how to play at all he would have lived

I work with the Hamilton County MRDD Department here in Ohio. Primaraly, I work at an education center for severely developmentaly challenged children, generaly with mutiple mental and behavioral handicaps.
In my expert, professional opinion, this guy is still a retard. Sorry, it's actualy apt this time.

Marlus Feb 21st 2007 2:47PM
it makes me wonder, how many would you kill before you go down?! I used to see some pvp videos of warriors killing 3 or 4 in a row... how about you guys? what 's your record?!
Zuuler Feb 21st 2007 2:47PM
Yeah heymish, I think this is one situation where someone with a mental handicap somehow got himself to lvl 64 but really has no idea how to play. Theres no way any thinking person could get this far in the game without learning how to kill something 30 lvls lower than himself unless he bought his character on eBay.

Ooooh I like this question. How about how many have you killed in one blow?
AoE Shadowfury with my destro specced warlock killed 7 with one blow in AV. I had to check my score to confirm I had 7 KB where before I had 0.
PVE, I have fought up to 6 mobs and won, but just barely.

@Heymish
I'm originally from North Carolina (I'm in Cincinnati, Ohio now) and your ass was probably handed to you the other night by a slack-jaw yokel last night. They may not be able to do math, but damn if they don't love to play hunters.
If you're going to preach tolerance and understanding, you might do well to demonstrate some of the same. Failure to do so is, retar....stupid.

Is it possible the orc hunter had rez sickness? I only ask because I took out a level 60 warrior with my level 40 shaman in Stranglethorn. It wasn't even much of a fight--he jumped me while I was fighting an ogre, and I fought back just for the hell of it, though I knew I was going to lose. He died, and I realized that not only had I done a great deal of damage to him, he had not really hurt me, and that meant only one thing...the clown had rez sickness and just couldn't wait for it to expire before he went back to ganking lowbies.
If this particular clown had rez sickness, then a level 30 anything could take him, and camp him. Maybe he's too much of a noob to realize what happened.
Heymish Feb 21st 2007 3:15PM
Haha! Nice Smithra! I was hoping someone would catch that. And to the others about using retarded, I was merely stating that by calling that hunter an r-tard, you are insulting the intellegence of the type guys I work with, because I know a particular guy in a residence that has 4 lvl 60's and a 70 that would never be so foolish as to spec a hunter like that.

You guys should lighten up some. This guy may be playing his first MMO ever, and maybe his first computer game (other than Tetris) There are a couple of people in my guild that are grandparents, and they are playing their first MMO. Needless to say, they had NO CLUE about how to play, Min/Maxing, or even basic tactics when they started. They have learned a lot, but I still get a chuckle about some of the things they havent figured out how to do. They usually group with each other, and go off and do their own thing unless their kids or grandkids are on, so they don't learn from the more experienced members of the guild. That isn't to say they don't have fun and aren't fun to group with, but you don't want to rely on them in a tight situation to play their class like you would expect. We took one of them into LBRS pre-expansion so she could tame a Blackrock Worg.....it took 4 attempts and lots of coaching because this was the 3rd pet she had ever tamed. Just because you get a toon up to lvl 60 and beyond doesn't necessarily mean you have learned a lot about how to play. It just means you slogged through the quests and did enough grinding to get there. So lighten up a little!

#16. Jup thats what I was gona say I remeber when I was a 60 and just rezed in STV and got ganked by 2 lowb Hords and I fought back and was pwned and I was like WTF. Soon realizing it was the Rez sickness hahahaha.. Thats what it was I bet a dollar on it!
