Around Azeroth: Meet Gahz'rilla

Ah, to be a lowbie again and run through some of these dungeons for the first time. You have to admit that the lead up to fighting Gahz'rilla is impressive: first there's the lengthy quest to acquire the mallet and then summoning the beast for the first time, and being a bit stunned to find a three-headed monster approaching you. Perhaps the shock and awe experience is mine alone, but you have to admit, it's a fun dungeon to run. Reader sonicblue sends in this one, explaining that the group's paladin got bounced up on top of this arch by Gahz'rilla, making perfect fodder for a mindvision/screenshot combo move.

fantastic instance, one of, if not the best.
The stairs event is epic.

I remember how awesome it was to use my mallet I worked so hard for. First dungeon that took some preparation/"keying" for me. I must have run it a dozen times that week.

Oh No, They say He's got to go, Go go Gahz'rilla!
.... Great, now that song is stuck in my head. Looks like I'll be hitting up some Guitar Hero when I get home.

It's sad that level 45ish is considered lowbie.

With the current max level being 70, perhaps 45 is more of a "midbie," but it just doesn't have the same ring to it.

I think it's an amazing instance, though acquiring the mallet can only be described as one of the sickest questlines in Wow - you need a bunch of 50s to get an item for an instance you can easily do in your mid 40s. Respawn times of those bloody trolls (in the Hinterlands) is scary, as is their aggro range - and as an alliance player there is not that much to do.

ZF was by far my favorite instance pre-BC. I still go back and help guildies with there first run. Releasing the NPC's at the temple and the fight on the step that follows was awesome the first time I experienced it and I enjoy being apart of that for others.
