WoW Moviewatch: Kiting Omen
For those of you who don't know, Omen is a raid boss in Moonglade who is present for the Lunar Festival event (which continues until the 8th of March for those of you who haven't yet had time to participate). And in true if-you-build-it-they-will-come fashion, industrious players across the realms are working to kite Omen to the nearest major city -- Orgrimmar, of course!

I love when people take the time to do something like this. Kazzak in Stormwind is one of my favorites. I have seen the blue dragon from Azshara in Orgrimmar, that was kind of funny too.
On the opposite end of things I have also seen people kite Gamon out of Orgrimmar and around the world, saw him in Ashenvale once, and another time in Thousand Needles.
Before BC came out, I had planned on going to Ashenvale and enslaving one of the Felguards, then bringing him back to Orgrimmar, but never got around to it. Now I am trying to think of a demon close enough to Orgrimmar that I can use enslave and make it to Org before it breaks. Not many choices, and it needs to be a demon that a warlock can't summon, any ideas?

I love how an essential element to all of these Kiting videos is a shitty and inappropriate soundtrack.

Funny to think people could kite him that far.

Let's see them try to get him in Darnassus next time. Could they lure him to the boat and keep him occupied until they got to Teldrassil? Could they get him to follow through the portal into Darnassus?

Anyone know if they buffed him with the level increase?

If you watch the credits, I think this movie was made last year, as there was not one person over 60 given credit in the movie. You would think if this was made recently they would have all been 60+.
Chances are they didn't buff him, like all the pre-TBC raid bosses.

the music sounds like it is popular with 15 year old white virgin males with no athletic ability and who lack social skills.

I was level 65 and he was still level ?? to me, but I'm not sure. Usually the level 70s show up red to me not ??, so chances are he's at least 71.

Or maybe he's just unknowable, like the faction leaders. They don't show levels either.

I fought/killed him last year AND this year, and he was definitely a lot easier with a bunch of 60-70's than he was with just 60's. Last year it was just a huge graveyard zerg with our raiding guild (ah, the good ol' days) and this year we pugged him and barely had anyone die.
As for his level, he's a "Boss", so he has no level.

And yea, that music really IS horrible. I can't remember the last time I watched a WoW video where I said "hey, this is a good choice of music". Except the one that I made (though that was a joke one, and the music was deliberately over-the-top).

I love it when bosses are kited to Org (or anywhere, really). It livens things up a bit!
As much as I dislike that kind of music, I can't say it's bad. No music is bad. I might not like that style, but luckily there are many choices. I just mute the videos and play my own music.
