Around Azeroth: Welcome to Thunder Bluff

Reader Syrich sends in this excellent shot of Thunder Bluff. (As sprawled as it is on its plateaus, it's rare to see a good shot of the whole city.) The city is quite the sight nestled between plains of green grass below and a brilliant, star-flecked sky above.

Its nice but I always thought that they could have made more rope bridges and the like, or maybe tunnelled into the mesas, thatd be pretty cool.

TB is my favorite city to navigate around.
The central staircase makes it easy to go up levels without running far.

There is a tunnel inside one of the mesas, I forget which one though, but you can see it as you cross one of the rope bridges.
I always hated TB, and I never rolled a Tauren either. So unless I had to go there for something I never went there. You can't mount and ride around the city easily like you can with all the other cities. If you want to go to another mesa, you have to dismount. Hated that.

I have come to prefer Silvermoon and Orgrimmar because everything I need in a major city is close together and easy to find. Also, being a warlock, there is no warlock trainer in TB, but there is one in Org, UC, and SM. Any time I am in southern kalimdor and need to train always requires a long flight for me, even though TB is so close.
Have to laugh at horde paladins though. Closest pally trainer outside Silvermoon is in UC (at least that I know of).

Personally, I don't care for it. If you're not a tauren, there really isn't much reason at all to go there. It's not on the way to much, and in fact, it's out of the way. It's almost the horde equivalent of Darnassus...

Thunder Bluff is the only Horde city with a bank, auction house, mailbox and blacksmith forge literally right next to each other. Makes BS crafting very simple.

Aside from Org, TB is my favorite city to go to, easy to navigate and I am druid so I go there often to train, lol.

FYI, theres a druid trainer in Silvermoon. Bit of an dd place for a druid trainer if you ask me. And Silvermoon is probably now the most out of the way horde city. But its there.
You probably already know about the one in Feralas too. And I'm not a druid, but isn't there druid trainers in Moonglade? Just seems like an appropriate place for a druid trainer.
I always wondered why there weren't more trainers scattered throughout the world. It would take a lot of lag off the major cities if everyone didn't have to go there everytime they needed to train.
I'd personally like to see a warlock trainer in souther Kalimdor somewhere. Northern Kalimdor I can go to Org. Northern Lordearon I can go to UC or Silvermoon. And in the south I can go to Stonard in Swamp of Sorrows for a lock trainer. But when I am questing in Tanaris, Un Goro, or Sithilus, I have a long flight for training.
